FIRST SNOW
12.01.05 (9:18 am)   [edit]

When I woke up, it was still 6:30 this morning. I didn't go out today. But I did laundry from 11 a.m. for an hour and half. It was fine weather but I saw snow at 2:30 p.m. for the first time in this winter. It was just for one minute in the blue sky, though. I poured water into the bathtub from the water tap after washing the bathtub, after using old tepid water from the bathtub to wash clothes. But I quite forgot running water to the bathtub, and when I remember that I forgot about that, it was still full and was overflowing from that. By the way, as you know, I am a fan of Erica I made up my mind to buy her DVD on next month for my present. By the way, I felt this cat seemed to say to me without mewing "Leave me alone" as it was walking away slowly by this back view. (NOV/30)

Tiger Cat This cat walked away on the white line as the cat left me behind here like ignoring to me. There was a shrine at left.

MY SCOOTER
11.30.05 (1:09 pm)   [edit]

I woke up at quarter past five this morning. And I took a trash bag out to the hut by scooter at 6 o'clock. The engine was started by only one kick, but I tried to open the throttle, it stopped running because it was not warm yet. I tried kicking the starter pedal five or six times to keep running the engine. And it got warm for some kicks, then, I carried the plastic bag there. It was wet on the road by the rain last night. I have ridden this scooter since I bought in 1995, but it has not almost had trouble until now. But XL125 has some troubles since I got last year. It has some serious troubles now, but the worst serious trouble is at the front brake now. It is terrible. I have not seen the brake like this until now. I want to get new one to get a long life. Anyway, I came back home and we had a breakfast at 8. Basically it was cloudy today, but it was falling rain around noon. It was stable weather by low pressure today. My mom was in home and was watching TV in this morning, but she said she wanted to go to the field in the afternoon, so I sent her there by car at half past one p.m. She seems to like really working at the field unlike me. She is going to come back home after visiting her relation's house with her carrots to give her on her way home. Tonight, I was also going to watch my favorite TV drama of Erica from 9 until 10. (NOV/29)

Tiger Cat This cat was at the field, but this is not a cat that is a kind of favorite. Erica was born in Tiger year.

NEW BIKE
11.29.05 (1:17 pm)   [edit]

I woke up at 5:45. It was a cloudy today. Basically I was in home all day, but I left for the field to pick mom up at 4 p.m. We put radishes into the trunk and came home at 4:30 p.m. She is a typical back seat driver. So she gave some her friends her crops on her way home. And I started writing this journal. By the way, I want a new motorcycle to ride on the rough road because the front brake was too terrible. I really wanted to buy new one. (NOV/28)

    (12:02 NOV 26, 2005)
The Kitakami The front brake was so poor and terrible that it was rocked and fell down here as I braked the bike.

HAYABUSA JAPAN
11.28.05 (1:17 pm)   [edit]

I woke up at 7 o'clock. It was cloudy then, so it was still dark a little. It was cloudy in the morning, but it started clearing up from 3 o'clock. My big sister who got a day off came to my house with her son by car at 11 a.m. She brought new two DVD that she had just got in this month, "Howl’s moving Castle" "Star Wars 3" to see it for me. They were just sold in this month at store. I borrowed them from her because she said tome she could lend me, and she gave a video box of Star Wars that I lent her in June back to me at last. They went back home at 12 p.m. because her son would take a test tomorrow at school, so he had to study hard today. By the way, Japanese space probe Hayabusa (peregrine) succeeded to touchdown on the Itokawa of a small planet for only one minute. Itokawa is one of big small planets between the Mars and Jupiter, and it was from Mr. Itokawa who was a processor of developing of rocket in Japan. Hayabusa gathered the sand of Itokawa. It was the first time in the world in human history in small planets. It would come back to the earth with a little sand in June 2007,and would drop the capsule with its sand off in the space on the sand in Australia. And then, Hayabusa would be going round the sun between the earth and the Mars forever until we would pick up in the future. Thanks for your effort. I got good dream for you. Congratulations! (NOV/27)

BIKE TOURING
11.27.05 (12:45 pm)   [edit]

I woke up at 4:15 a.m. I wonder why I woke up at too early morning. Anyway, it was a fine day today from morning. My mom left for a hot spring by bus whit neighbors at 9 a.m. I rode my motorcycle on long distance after a long time, but it was 46km/29miles for two hours. I left home at 12, and came home at 2 p.m. 23km/h, 14.3miles/h Mainly my bike was running on the rough road in the rice field or in the mountain. I saw three cats on the road. I didn't feel cold today's touring because it was a fine and warm and I wore a kart suites. I took pictures of them. I took a lot of pictures for my web site today. I would show you them here from tomorrow. Maybe you would be able to see them here from tomorrow. Mom came home at 4 p.m.  (NOV/26)

SURPRISED SHOPPING
11.26.05 (1:32 pm)   [edit]

I woke up at 4 o'clock. I thought that I wondered why I woke up at early morning like this. But I remembered that I fell asleep at 9 o'clock last night. I sent my mom to the clinic by car. But before that, we called at a supermarket for her shopping. She went into the store, and I didn't like waiting for her in the car for a long time, so I got out of the car and walked to a bank near the store. But there were some people in line in front of ATM. I got it. Today was payday. It was no relation for me at all, though. And walked to a drugstore. I bought chocolates, a shampoo, three bottles of xylitol gum of LOTTE that I bought often, because they were cheaper in this bargain, and a spray for a nose. But I was really surprised of what a clerk was saying to me at register, because she said to me that they are $30 in all. That was because I supposed that they were about $15. So I asked to her about that. But I found I guessed wrong soon by her explanation. When I went back to my car, she was waiting behind the trunk unusually. And then, I drove her to the clinic. She was not going to see a doctor today because there would seem to be many patients in there and she was busy today, she wanted to be only given a medicine today. She walked and came back home at 1 p.m. Of course, I already came home at 10:45 a.m. And another her business was what she visited a house that had dead man the other day, in the afternoon, so I drove her to the house at3 p.m. I was waiting for her in front of the house in the car for 10 minutes, and came back home at 3:20 p.m. By the way, mom visited her far relation's house near my house. But she came home with some tofu and aburage, a deep-fried tofu, as present from her. It was surprised thing, but she lost her husband and son in succession about five years ago. By the way, Erica lost her father and her big brother in succession about the same time. She was in the sad TV drama now, but I saw that her drama was valued as the best drama in all TV dramas in Japan on the Internet news today. I thought it was natural news.  (NOV/25)

NEW PRIEST
11.25.05 (11:24 am)   [edit]

I woke up at quarter to six. It was naturally this morning, too. I wake up about that time every morning without an alarm clock. By the way, DVD player that I had ordered on web shop arrived to my house at 11 a.m. by a deliveryman at last. It is unknown maker, but it seemed Japanese maker, but it seemed to be made in China. I put that on the video in the shelf under the TV noon. Of course, the DVD player can play back normal DVD disk, but can also play back a file, such as MP4/Dix etc, in CD-R that was made by PC. Especially there was no problem about the DVD when I did playback DVD noon. By the way, mom walked to nearby temple for meeting before 11 a.m., but new young Buddhist priest came to our temple to work for us the other day, and I heard from mom that he was introduced in front of us for the first time. He is already living in the house next to the temple from this month. He is supposed to live in the house until he died for his Buddhism work. It made us be in a relief at last. She came home at 3 p.m. with a lunch pack. It seemed a fine this morning, but started raining here under the dark clouds at 1 p.m., but turned to blue skies before I knew so I was surprised.   (NOV/24)

Kamekiti I wonder how he put his front legs on the top of the can. The can almost drops to the water by his try. (10:50 OCT/28, 2005)

LABOR THANKSGIVING DAY
11.24.05 (3:18 pm)   [edit]

Today was a national holiday, Labor Thanksgiving Day. But I am not included that day as worker for a long time. I mean, I am not a person who should not be celebrated today. We who were in home without job seemed to hear this holiday had been saying that we who didn't work and didn't earn money to live for myself and didn't pay tax to the country do not have to be in Japan. But I had to live here, because I don't have any place to live anywhere any more. I had to be living in the small box secretly. I woke up at 5:30 despite of a national holiday, despite having no relation to the holiday for me. I turned on the radio soon as usual, and was listening to the morning program in futon for a while. Basically it seemed to be a fine weather from the morning, so I wanted to ride my motorcycle again, but I couldn't do so, because I got an e-mail from the electrical store that wrote like this "I already sent you DVD player that you had ordered, today" yesterday. So the thing might arrive to my house today, I had to stay home all day today without going out. But it didn't come to me after all. But luckily, it turned cloudy in the afternoon, and it started raining suddenly at 3 p.m. I had already driven my mom to the field with a lunch box at 10 a.m. and I had a plan to pick her up there at 3 p.m. so I left there immediately. She was sitting on the ground to wait under the umbrella as I got there. I thought today was the day for my mom, but she also worked this day today without taking a rest. I could not earn money even 1 cent today too, so I had to write for this journal in this holiday. Today is a kind of sad day once a year.   (NOV/24)

Kamekiti I have been also taking care of him from this March like Aso who is a student and a good friend for Erica.(11:22 NOV 16, 2005)

STUCK FISHBONE
11.24.05 (8:39 am)   [edit]

It was 6:30 a.m. that I woke up this morning. It was cloudy again. Mom said to me that she would go to a meeting with her relations as we were having breakfast at kitchen. I asked her, "What time are you going there?" She must want to be sent there by me. I drove her there at quarter to twelve. They get together at restaurant of a fish store once a month for a mutual loan association by them. The all members are four women, mom, her little sister, and two nieces. Each they give one 10,000 yen ($84) a month. So the one is given 30,000 yen ($250) from other three members once per four months. I dropped her off in front of the store, and went to a parking lot next to a bookstore and got car into the parking lot after passing through the gate. I bought two textbooks of radio course for next month at the store. I bought an unscheduled English magazine with CD at $7, because it featured Queens English of England. I wanted to buy a pocketbook of next year there, but it was not enough time to decide the best one for me to buy. It is free until a half hour at the parking lot whether we spend money there or not. So I had to come back to my car at once with my watch. I came back home at 12:20 p.m. Mom walked and called at her friend Maki's barber shop near my house to cut her hair after the meeting, and came home at 4:30 p.m. There was a small hot-pot cooked at the table for each for dinner. It's called "nabe (pot)" in Japan. It is one of the best meals for dinner in the winter in Japan. However, mom put a cod into the pot on the fire, she got a fishbone stuck in her throat, she took her artificial tooth out of her mouth to remove the bone. Luckily, the bone seemed to leave from her throat, so she did nothave to get into an ambulance. Anyway, I watched the TV drama of Erica who is my favorite actress from 9 p.m. I am sure to watch that drama everyTuesdays without forgetting.   (NOV/23)

Kamekiti He is not an acrobat turtle on the can. He is just normal turtle. But he is trying to get warm by his legs. (11:22 NOV 16, 2005)

RIDING MOTORCYCLE
11.23.05 (4:22 pm)   [edit]

I woke up at quarter to six. I was listening to the radio of English and German both basic courses until 7 as usual in futon. Mom asked me to send the house of her classmate of elementary school, so I called at the field for her at first to pull radish as her present to her classmate. Mom went there to be given money that she borrowed from her friend. I dropped her off near that elementary school at 10 a.m. and went back home soon. A man visited my house suddenly at 11:30 a.m. He was a serviceman of propane gas. He checked the propane gas tank outside and the gas stove that I bought at DIY store and set by myself two years ago. He said to me it was once per four years, and there was no problem around the gas. He was out of my house in 20 minutes. It was a fine day, so I felt like riding the motorcycle suddenly, and got on mine after a long time. According to the watch at meter cowl, it was after an interval of a month and half, so to be exact, it was since September 18. But it woke up by only two kicks unexpectedly. I rode that for half hour at 20km (12miles) because it was a little cold at 10(50) degrees around 1 p.m. Mom walked to a big supermarket from the house to want to use the gift card that she was given. And she made a call to my house after shopping at 15:10. "Hi, this is me. I'm in front of the entrance of the store. As you know already, can you give me a lift? Thank you to your kindness." So I had to go there to pick her up immediately, because I was her chauffeur. My car came back home after picking her up there at 4 p.m.  (NOV/23)

Kamekiti This isn't his trick like circus. His legs in the air were to get warm by sunlight. He likes being on the rock. (12:14 NOV 10, 2005)

BORING SUNDAY
11.23.05 (7:28 am)   [edit]

I woke up at 6:30 despite Sunday morning. It was cloudy and cold in the morning, but it changed to fine at 3 p.m. at last. I was staying home all day. There was no news about me. Mom watched a women marathon in Tokyo on TV from noon in the living room. I watched Mr. Wada on TV at kitchen without a heater noon. I felt cold, but luckily, I did not have a cold. Usually whenever I do laundry on Sundays,  I watch the TV program to see her. (NOV/20)

BORING SATURDAY
11.20.05 (1:31 pm)   [edit]

Luckily, I fell asleep at 11 p.m. last night as usual, in spite of that, I could sleep until 7:30 this morning unusually. I ordered DVD player at store on the Internet last evening. It was at $65 including postage cost. I can watch movie DVD on the TV in the living room at last. I had never DVD player until now. By the way, it was fine day today, but I wanted to ride my motorcycle today, but I didn't ride that today after all. It was cold. So I have been in my room today. By the way, this lunch pack was$4.2. This lunch pack is called Kisetsu no Makunouchi Bento in Japanese. That means a lunch with rice and side dishes packed in a box of season. Today was boring for me, but I do not like a boring Saturday, and you? (NOV/19)

Lunch Pack: This is a lunch pack that mom bought at the supermarket fro dinner when she came from Morioka. (18:45 NOV 16, 2005)

FREEZING MORNING
11.19.05 (1:03 pm)   [edit]
I watched a web site of air temperature today now, according to the page, this morning seemed the coldest here in this autumn. It was under the freezing point for the first time this fall. I woke up at 6:30 this morning. But I didn't think that it was so cold in futon. Basically it was cloudy all day today. My mom forgot to buy a thing to make a pickle at supermarket when she came home from the station, so I drove her to the store again at 10 a.m. today. I bought my favorite clackers, cup noodles, potato chips, and bread there, too. And we call at the field on our way home by her request. She pulled some radishes and put into the plastic bag, and put cabbages and leeks into the bag as well. I carried them and put into the trunk of the car, we came home at 11 a.m. It was raining around noon.(NOV/18)

MORNING WORK
11.18.05 (1:44 pm)   [edit]

The time was a little late for me to wake me up. It was already at half past six. Anyway, whether I could understand it or not, I was listening to the radio of German basic course in futon until 7 a.m. I listen to the course every morning. As soon as the program finished, I got out of the futon and went outside, because I had to go to a hut with recycle trash. There were two plastic bags filled with trash for recycle. They were bottles and trays of styrene foam in two each bags. I put bottle bag on the board of steps of scooter, and another bag was very light because that was filled with styrene foam, so I grabbed the bag with my left hand and carried that to the hat. I wondered if it was raining in the early morning then because a road got wet. It didn't seem snow yet, but it would change to snow shortly. To be exact, falling snow in the skies would pile on the ground before melting in the air shortly. It was cloudy ever since morning, but the skies started clearing up in the afternoon. But today was cold all day. By the way, a call from mom at the station came to me at 5:30 p.m. I went thereto pick her up by car soon. And we called at a supermarket, and I was in the car without heater for a half hour to wait her shopping. She bought a lunch packed for dinner. We came home after 6 p.m. and ate them. Of course, I took a picture of that before having that for my web site. (NOV/17)

Breakfast: These are rice, miso soup, and my chopsticks. Some white squares in soup are tofu and salted trout. (8:26 NOV 5, 2005)

TRIP IN JAPAN
11.17.05 (12:56 pm)   [edit]

When I woke up at 6 o'clock, I still had a headache. Oh, my god! I became depressed from the morning because I wondered if I had a headache all day today too. But the headache went out of my head to anywhere before I knew at last. By the way, mom said to me at dinner that she was going to go to Morioka to see a doctor today. So I looked up a train schedule for mom in the Internet this morning. The doctor is too busy in this week because he was not in the clinic these days, she could get a reservation by telephone, but it was at 3 p.m. She could usually get a reservation at 10 a.m. until now. Bt this time was 3 p.m. So she usually left for a station at 6:30 a.m. to go to Morioka, but I drove her to the station at 12 p.m. She got on a local train that stopped all stations until Morioka, far 100km(60miles) away, as usual, and should have got at Morioka station in an hour and half. Then she should have got on a bus in front of the station. A way to come back home was a local train until now, but this time was too late, and it was in the dark if she got on the local train for a long time, so I suggested to her that she should get on a super express to go home at breakfast. She has never got on a super express alone, but she is a challenger. The super train can carry her to the station in only 30 minutes. She would go back to the station safely with no problem. Anyway, I dropped her off at the station, and called at the bookstore. I bought a car magazine after an interval of a year. It was a fine in the morning, but it started raining noon. That looked like sleet a little. By the way, the President of the United States Mr. Bush came to Kyoto, Japan, yesterday. He visited a golden temple, Kinkakuji Temple, today and going to Korea for a meeting of APEC. Mrs. Laura Bush who was a teacher practiced calligraphy with a brush and black ink in Kyoto, and she wrote "forever" in Japanese on the paper very well. Miss Hermes had wrote "teacher" in Japanese by penmanship like her before as her job of dream as she was pupil. Then she got a license of a kindergarten teacher at collage. Her dream came true. (NOV/16)

Dinner: This steel black pot was $1. This wooden cover of the pot was $1 too. We have nabe (pot) in winter often. (18:27 NOV 4, 2005)

WEDDING CEREMONY
11.16.05 (1:11 pm)   [edit]

When I woke up at 6 o'clock this morning, I still had a headache. That was too bad. I still have a headache until now at 4 p.m. A hangover of yesterday turned to a headache today. That didn't go away from in my head easily. There was a little powerful earthquake this morning. It was at6:39 a.m. A tsunami came to the Pacific Ocean coast of northern Japan. The height was 50cm(1.6feets) in Ofunato, nearest sea for us. We were surprised by that. I was in futon, mom was cooking meal at kitchen, but she turned off the oven not to case a fire and opened the entrance door soon to get escape way. Usual Japanese people do so at once like my mom as the earthquake came. It was a fine morning today, but turned cloudy in the afternoon. She said she meant to go to the field to work in the morning, so I drove her to the field at 9:40 a.m. By the way, Saya married with Mr. Kuroda today. Saya is her nickname. Her real first name is Sayako, Michiko's only daughter, her mother is an empress. I mean she was a princess. They mean to live in a rental room where it have an only room and kitchen next spring from tonight until their apartment was built. She became a usual citizen today from princess. Have a good new life.(NOV/15)

Ghana: This is LOTTE chocolate. The pro baseball team of LOTTE got to be the first Asia champion of this year. (12:04 NOV 1, 2005)

HANGOVER
11.15.05 (1:17 pm)   [edit]

I woke up at quarter past six this morning. But I felt a slight hangover then. I had a can beer (0.35 liter) at 9 p.m. as I was watching the video. And I fell asleep at 10:30 last night. I didn't want to be a hangover, so I usually have a can beer at dinner at 6 p.m. I still had been a hangover at 4p.m. By the way, mom walked to the field today, too. She seemed to leave home at 9 a.m. And I went to there to pick her up noon. She harvested a lot of radishes at her field, and bunched them with straw and put them into the trunk of the car. We called at her some friends home on our way home, and gave that at each house and came back home at 12:30. It was cloudy all day today, but I did not know it was a chilly day like this before I knew temperature of today on the web site. By the way, would you see today's picture? This store sell us book, but can lend us a rental video or DVD, too. A rental video of a movie in this January that I wanted to rent is $2.5 for a week. How about a store where it is near your house? (NOV/14)

My Car: This is at bookstore. A small meter at right lower is for gas. It said F because I just called at gas station. (10:52 NOV 11, 2005)

BORING SUNDAY
11.14.05 (1:27 pm)   [edit]

I woke up at 7 o'clock. It was late for me. But I fell asleep at 1 a.m. So I couldn't sleep for only 6 hours despite Sunday. There are lots of interesting radio programs in Saturday. I had been listening to the radio all day long in Saturdays. It was cloud day all day today. Mom was given a bag of new rice from her niece about a month ago, so I drove her to her niece house to give a present for her at 10 a.m. I was listening to the new CD of bossa nova that I bought the other day in the car. There was a dog outside of her house, he seemed to be glad that we came there, so he didn't be barking to us at all, and his tail was swinging. We stroked his head softly. Mom got into the house, but I met her and went back to the car soon. Then, I was stroking his head again. I went back home at 10:30. Mom came back home at 1:30 p.m. by her car. As she came home, I just almost finished doing laundry. I did that from noon until then. I washed my clothes and towels by tepid water in the bathtub with a washing machine. That's why I didn't ride motorcycle today, Sunday of this week, too. But I would go out to take pictures for my web site in the near future. By the way, I tried to rent a movie DVD of Erica at this store this day.  (NOV/13)

Rental Store: This is one of the bookstores that I went to often, but this store lends us video, DVD, and CD etc. (10:52 NOV 11, 2005)

DARK CLOUDS
11.13.05 (1:32 pm)   [edit]
I wonder why I wake up so early every morning. I fell asleep at 11 p.m. last night as usual, but in spite of that, I woke up at 4 a.m. this morning. I was awoken by a gnat flying around my face any number of times when I was sleeping in futon. And I thought I felt itchy, my hand had been stung by that. It was raining as I woke up, but a newspaper man delivered a paper to my house by motorbike at 4:30 in the rain, so I got out of the futon and went to the mail box to take that. Whenever I took a newspaper, it was in my mind "Thanks for delivering to you." I was reading the paper in futon. But it stopped raining until about 8 a.m. It was a fine day after that. So mom said, "I mean to go to the field after lunch." She walked to a public house of neighborhood in the morning because she showed her patchwork to neighbors at cultural festival of the neighbor. So I tried to drive her there, but we found the skies of north were covered with dark clouds, so as soon as the car started, it started raining on the way. She said that she didn't have a rainwear, so we gave up going to the field, we went to a temple to clean a grave of dad instead of that by her request. She was going to call at there after working the field on my way home to clean, so she brought and put a sweep and so on into the trunk. There were a large number of dead yellow leaves at dad's grave as we thought. We cleaned the grave, and when we were trying to go back home from the temple, it started heavy rain, I thought she was lucky not to go to the field, and went back home in 20 minutes since we left home at 1 p.m. However, the heavy rain stopped at once, blue skies returned to here in shortly. She was being at kotatsu heater after that and was watching TV.I think a cold front went through over here from the north to the south.(NOV/12)

11.12.05 (12:44 pm)   [edit]

I fell asleep at 11 p.m. as usual last night, but I could sleep until 6:30this morning. Mom and I left home by car at 10 a.m. to drive her to the hospital. At first, my car went to the hospital, and she got into the hospital and put her card, and she came back to the car soon. And we went to the drug store and 100yen shop next to the store each other. I bought notebooks, and Ghana chocolate of LOTTE at 100yen shop. Then we left the store for another hospital. She got off the car and got into the hospital to see an eye doctor. And I went to a self-service gas station since August. My car has run 350km(220miles) since then. I filled up the tank. It was for31liters. 125 yen a litter ($4.02 a gallon). It was 3 yen cheaper than before. The mileage was 11.2km/liter. It is a little bad, but I drove it near here as her chauffeur. I put some bills into the slot, so I spent 4,000yen ($34) there. And I called at a bookstore and bought a weekly magazine, and a bossa nova CD at $10 by chance. It was after a long time for me that I bought a new CD, because I always bought a used one or 100shop's one. I came back home at 11:30 a.m. And I got her call and went to DIY store by car soon to pick her up at 5 p.m. By the way, as you can see, tires of the car were dirty by mud because the car went to the field often by request of mom. (NOV/11)

BROTHER OF MOM
11.11.05 (1:24 pm)   [edit]

You may not believe, but I woke up at 3 o'clock this morning naturally. I fell asleep at 11 p.m. last night as usual. So I slept for only four hours. But I didn't feel sleepy then, so I had to lie awake in futon until dawn. So I had to be listening to the radio until after 7 o'clock. It was a very fine morning. So it was a little cold. By the way, today was the dead day of one of my mom's big brothers. He died in 1945 in home, 60 years ago. He went to Hiroshima to help railroad fixing up and got illness in there after the first atomic bomb. She said that she remembered the day was a really cold day in front of the grave. We left home by car at 10 a.m. and stopped at a supermarket to pick her little sister, and went together to the grave. I put flowers, sweets on the stone of the grave, and offered burning incenses for him, and I took off my cap, we bowed and prayed for him. There was a crow on an electrical wire above the grave. We thought that it seemed to be waiting for leaving of us. But the crow flied and came to the grave, but there was not a sweet there because we brought all them. The crow was looking for something to eat on the top of the grave. Mom saw the crow and said in the car, "There seems to be no feed anywhere now. What a pity crow." She came back there again to the grave to put only one little dumpling again for the crow. The crow flied there and took it in its beak and flied on the branch near just there. And we dropped off her sister at the supermarket, and dropped off mom at the field on my way home, and came home at 10:40. And then, we went to the field to pick her up at 2. There were a lot of her crops, radishes, leeks, and carrots in three big plastic bags in the trunk of the car by her. We came home at 2:30. (NOV/10)

Breakfast: This black thing on rice is seaweed. A lunch box of mom by box of beer thrown in, and green tea pot. (7:39 NOV 1, 2005)

SAD TV DRAMA
11.10.05 (1:54 pm)   [edit]

I woke up at 5:30 this morning, and then, it started raining suddenly soon after that. But it stopped at about 7:30 a.m. There were lot of clouds, but it was a sunny day in the morning. But it was cloudy this afternoon. It was chilly day. Basically I was in futon until 2 p.m. because it was chilly in my room. Last night, I watched TV drama of Erica. She is a daughter of tofu store in the drama. I love tofu like her. She belongs to a basketball team in the high school, but she is going to give up the club by her illness. The drama is really sad story. But I will watch the drama until the final story. (NOV/9)

Yakisoba: This is homemade yakisoba by mom, it means fried noodle with vegetable. Red on it is red pickled ginger.

TEARS OF 1 LITER
11.09.05 (1:22 pm)   [edit]

I woke up at quarter to six this morning. A slight headache still remained in my head, but I thought it left away at about 7 o'clock before I knew. It was a sunny day from sunrise, but it turned to bad weather suddenly, so it started raining at just noon. It made me think it was by a cold front. A cushion that mom put on the concrete of the stairs this morning to dry got wet by the rain, and azuki beans of her crop in the box outside, too. I was also in home all day today. By the way, I'm going to watch TV drama "Tears of 1 liter" tonight like Sakazaki who is her fun, too. I watched the drama on Tuesdays night. It was really sad story, but Erica seems to make me watch it by her charm. By the way, would you look at this table in the kitchen. Shaou-mai on the plate is a steamed Chinese pork dumpling wrapped in a thin flour and water pancake, and green bean is put on it. These were put into a microwave by mom. These triangle shaped foods are konjak, a kind of healthy foods, non calory food, jelly-like food made from the starch of devil's tongue. Only mom eat it with miso, brawn soybean paste.  (NOV/8)

Breakfast: There is a rice, miso soup in a wooden bowl, and shao-mai on the plate. They all were made by mom.

MEDICINE SYRUP
11.08.05 (12:38 pm)   [edit]

It said 5:30 a.m. on the clock beside the pillow when I woke up. It was still dark and was raining heavily. It had been heavy raining since last night at 6:45 p.m. I was surprised of that a little, because I didn't expect it at all. However, this morning was warm morning, and raining stopped at about 7 o'clock, then it was a fine day today. Thanks for a newspaper deliveryman. He rode a motorbike for the newspaper in the rain ware by the heavy rain. By the way, I didn't know the reason, but I noticed I had a headache when I woke up. But I thought it was a lucky chance to test another medicine to get well a headache. I have a cough medicine syrup, but it had a good effect for me. And there was a fact that cold medicine was good effect for my headache already. So I thought that I would try to take the cough medicine syrup for my headache that was not got well effect by a normal painkiller. I took a tiny cup of the syrup, then, I felt the pain of the headache threw into confusion soon. I could check the truth of the effect to a headache. I saw the cough syrup was more effect than usual painkiller for me. Anyway, I thought it was important that we found a fit medicine than an expensive one. I slept for only five hours after getting into futon after watching movie on TV last night, so I was glad that I could sleep for two hours around noon by the syrup after feeling sleepy despite not having lunch. I was staying home especially in my room, and basically I was listening to the radio all day. But it was one of my daily jobs, though. (NOV/7)

Fish on the table in the kitchen for breakfast: This is a Pacific saury, but it is called Sanma in Japan. This is one of autumn representative tastes in Japan.

DEATH OF MINAKO
11.07.05 (1:11 pm)   [edit]

It was half past six when I woke up this morning. I turned on the radio beside futon soon as usual. Of course, it is baroque music. I was listening to music of Bach in futon, but it was the music of Brandenburg by him. I thought that I would like Erica to play this song with a flute then. The skies were covered with thin clouds this morning under the sun, but it turned cloudy in the afternoon. It has got chilly recently, so mom asked to me to take kotatsu, a Japanese traditional heater with futon, out of the basement at last, so I carried it to the living room in the morning. By the way, I got a used study-aid book of German that I got at auction site this afternoon, but I was disappointed with the book a little. It was thin, and there were many questions in German in the book, but in spite of that, it did not have answer at all. It was come from Okinawa Island for the first time in my auction's history. By the say, there is a sad news in Japan. Miss Honda Minako passed away in this early morning. She was at the age of only 38. She was one of popular Japanese idols and singers in Japan, but she changed to a stage actress after that. But she made the fact that she got bad illness public after getting off the stage suddenly, and got into the hospital on July this year. I was quite shocked by the news of local news web site at 1:40 p.m. We would have to be very sad by her death for a while. "Miss Saigon" it got to be the most important stage of her after all. That was the stage about Vietnam War. (NOV/6)

Mantis: This brown little mantis on the shohji, a traditional Japanese paper sliding door, was at the stairs by chance.

HOUSE OF UNCLE
11.06.05 (10:59 am)   [edit]

This morning was misty morning, too, but it started clearing up from about 10 o'clock, too. So it was a fine day today, too. I woke up at quarter past five o'clock in the dark, and turned on the radio soon and listened to it in futon until 7 o'clock as usual. By the way, my mom and I left home at1 p.m. and drove her to her little brother in law with her crops of the field in the box at 1:30 p.m. but my car called at a supermarket for a shopping on the way there. I was waiting for her in the car at the parking lot for 20minutes without any doing, but I was listening to the car radio. I left there soon after she came back to the car and went to the uncle's house. His house is just near the supermarket, it takes only half minute to get. As soon as the car got there, I got off the car and carried the box filled with her crops from the trunk to the house. My aunt who was my dad's sister in law was there, and I saw my uncle on the chair also in the living room, and I said to them "Hello!" Mom got into the house to chat, and I left mom there and only I went home soon because I will have to write my journal of today to update this web page. So I had to say to them "Good bye" soon after saying "Hello." I visit their house once a year at least at about this time to carry her crops as present by car. However, when I was driving to home, there was a car that ignored the red light in front of my car at the same traffic light that was in front of junior high school that I also graduated, since January 4, according to my pocket notebook. "Come On!" It was a white light truck by old man. When the near miss was, I looked at the traffic light to check, it sure was red for the old man's side. And two cars in front of my car that was waiting with me at the traffic light started moving to turn right as soon as the light turned blue, but luckily, I moved slowly, then the foolish driver's truck got into us between I and the car that was stopping in front of my car. But it was still safer than the case in this January. The truck was driving slowly on the road in front of my car like no trouble. I came back home at 1:50 p.m. I carried two plastic bags from the car and put foods that mom bought at store into the fridge soon instead of her. By the way, this rice strewed with black sesame and salt on it is called sekihan (red-rice) in Japan. It is eaten at a happy event very well. (NOV/5)

Lunch Box: This is a packed lunch that my mom was given at the event of neighborhood for respected old person

MISTY MORNING
11.05.05 (11:38 am)   [edit]

I woke up at 6 o'clock and got up from futon immediately, because I had to go to take out a trash bag to a hut this morning. But my scooter that I would carry the bag didn't wake up by some kicks easily. It had been using an old spark plug since 10 years ago, and I rarely rode it these days. So only some my kicks couldn't wake up the engine, I had to give it 30 kicks to start the engine. It was very smoky by mist this morning. By the way, the trash bag of plastic filled with including garbage tore a little and took out a little trash on the ground two days ago. Mom found it on the big plastic bucket in the early morning. In fact, I put trash into the bag and took out the bag of the bucket to push by my foot to make any capacities for after trash. But it couldn't go back to the bucket, so I left it on the bucket. Then, mom said to me she thought it was by a stray cat. But we didn't upset at all, I fix the hall of the bag with plastic tape soon. And I put it on the bucket again, but cat didn't come again. It was a misty morning, so it began clearing up the thick mist from about 9 a.m. and turned to a fine day in the morning. It was warmly today. But it changed cloudy this afternoon. As you know, I have been staying home especially in my roomall day.  (NOV/4)

Curry Bar: I bought this bread at a convenience store at $0.9. It had curry inside. I ate it with this milk for lunch.

CULTURE DAY
11.04.05 (12:39 pm)   [edit]
It was 2:45 a.m. when I woke up this morning. There were orange figures of digital timer of the stereo in the dark beside my futon. But I didn't want to sleep, so I turned on the radio beside futon, and had been listening to the radio in futon until 7 a.m. It began dawning outside from about 6 o'clock at last. It was smoky this morning, but it started clearing up from about 9 a.m. I drove mom to the field at 1 p.m. and called at an unmanned rice washing machine like a vender machine. I put 30kg rice from the paper bag into the machine, and put 300yen into the slot. And I was waiting for the finished there for a quarter hour. And I came back home at 1:30 p.m. Today was a national holiday. But it is unconnected holiday for me, because every day is Sunday. And I picked her up at 4 o'clock with four plastic bag filled with her vegetables, such as taros, carrots, and Chinese cabbages, and went home at 4:30 p.m. By the way, let me explain this picture, I ate a half of that this day, and ate a remaining half next day, because it was too good to eat once.(NOV/3)  photo

NEW DVD
11.03.05 (11:42 am)   [edit]
I woke up before 6 o'clock every morning, and I turn on the radio by my pillow soon, and listening to the radio, and three radio English basic courses from 6 to 6:45、and listen to a radio German basic course every morning until 7:05. I got a German dictionary of CD the other day, so it got to be very easier than before. I prepare tomorrow's lesson every night these days. And then, I have breakfast with mom every morning. It was a fine day today, too. If it is a fine day, water in the tank got warm so the turtle really enjoys swimming in the pool, especially a lot of persons in the living room near the pool make it be a very frolicsome turtle. I drove my mom to my sister's house this afternoon. We left home at 1 p.m. and called at a supermarket on my way there, and bought a box of beer at $30 to take it to there as our present. My car was just getting there, I carried the box from the trunk to her house. And I went to a bookstore, and looked for one rental DVD. But I am not the member of rental DVD members of the store. If I can rent the movie, I would join the membership. I wanted watch the movie suddenly. I came back home before 2 p.m. My sister took mom home in her car with a bag of rice at 4 p.m. and then, she went back home in a quarter. She said to me that she had ordered Miyazaki's new DVD because she had watched the movie twice in the theater. And I thought she was going to buy new Star Wars DVD this month. I also want a movie DVD, Pattigi, in 2005, and I want to a DVD player for TV, because I have only a DVD player of PC.(NOV/2) photo

AFTER HALLOWEEN
11.02.05 (12:27 pm)   [edit]
I woke up at 5:30 this morning. I ate a cup of mom's homemade instant Chinese noodles in soup after a long time lat night for dinner of Halloween last night. And I had a can beer before going to futon after taking a bath at 11 p.m. And then, I turned on the next room's PC to check a used book that I want to buy on the Internet auction site. Then, I got it at $4 without any rivals. It was a study-aid book of German. When I checked some study-aid books of German in the bookstore yesterday, they were about over $20 at least. So I could not get it. It was the coldest morning in this autumn this morning. I thought it would have frozen outside for the first time in this season this morning. My mom went to a temple to practice Buddhist songs at 9 a.m. and came back home at half past four. It was a fine day, in spite of that, but I have been staying home all day. I felt like getting on a motorcycle today after a long time, but I didn't ride it after all without especially reason. I wonder what I would eat for dinner by mom tonight. Anyway, Christmas shopping season started from today.  (NOV/1)  photo
