HALLOWE'EN PARTY
11.01.05 (1:10 pm)   [edit]
It was a fine day today. I drove mom to the central of this town at 11 o'clock. She got off the car and I went to a post office near there soon to paid money for German dictionary of CD-ROM. It was $25. I got the dictionary the day before yesterday by mail. I already installed the software of the dictionary last night. I thought it was useful. And I went to a bookstore to look at a study-aid book of German. But they were too expensive for me that I could not buy even one of them. I called at a convenience store after a long time, seven eleven, on my way home, and bought two breads for lunch. I came back home noon. And I picked a phone up at 4 p.m. it was from mom at a supermarket than I thought. I headed for there soon. She was waiting for me at the parking lot with two baskets filled with foods on the cart. She put them into the trunk and got into the car. And we came back home at 4:20. There were a lot of foods in my house after a long time. A fridge at the kitchen didn't have many foods these days, because she got money from her relations. They got together at restaurant and had lunch to held a meeting of a mutual loan association by four women, and mom got money this month. It was held once a month. She doesn't know what today is Hallowe'en at all, but I wonder what meal for dinner would be tonight. (OCT/31) photo

MY FUTURE
10.31.05 (1:36 pm)   [edit]
I woke up at 6:30 a.m. and turned on the tuner of the used Kenwood stereo soon, and I was listening to the baroque music on FM in the futon until 7 a.m. I like baroque music, especially Johann Sebastian Bach. He is called father of music. I like his music from 10 years old. I used to listen to his record whom my dad gave me often then. I was glad that I have been studying German, although it was from this month. My mom left home at 8:30 to go to a dam for rice field with neighbors and take a hot spring near there by bus. I was being in home all day. I did laundry of my clothes from 12 to 1:30 p.m. Basically it was cloudy, but the sun appeared in the clouds sometimes. My head butted the corner of steel box after hanging those clothes, because there was a bed sheet whom I hanged on the wash-line pole in front of my head in the hut, so it was in hiding by the bed sheet for my eye. I butted to something by my head after a long time. I wonder whether I would appear to the movie "Pattigi 2 (in Korean/Head Butt)"as a used bookstore's quiet master. The movie was on the stage of Korea High School in Kyoto in 1968. By the way, my mom steamed homemade gaanduki cake sometimes.  (OCT/30)  photo

MY DREAM
10.30.05 (11:54 am)   [edit]
I drove mother to the field at 9. It was cloudy but started raining at noon. It was chilly today. Basically I was in my room all day. There was no news about me. I don't have what I write about my news these days. There is hardly food in my house these days. I have a lot of free time, so I have to a dentist now to appear a period drama because there were many metal teeth like Jaws of 007, but I don't have money. So I would not be hired as actor in the drama or movie from a director. I would like to be a used bookstore's master for Erica, high school student. Haruka and Erica appeared in the same TV drama, but I didn't know about that then, so I didn't watch it at all. I wonder if I would have to give up in the movie with Miss Hermes. If I did not have my line at all, I could appear a drama of movie.  If I have to say anything on a drama or movie, I would have to appear as ninja because a mouth was in hiding by a cloth.  (OCT/29)  photo

HER PRESENT
10.29.05 (12:40 pm)   [edit]
My sister came to my house at 11 a.m. She gave me a box of beer. She gave us a bag of rice, 30kg. A woman farmer came to my house with three bags of rice 90kg by a light truck at 12:30. Mom paid her money. She was at living room with a cup of green tea until 2 p.m. I already went to the clinic to put her card into a box by car at 12:30, so my sister drove mom to the clinic by her car after 2 p.m.  (OCT/28) photo

GOOD JOB
10.28.05 (1:22 pm)   [edit]
It was a fine day. I woke up at 5:40 this morning, too. I went to the field to pick mom up at 2 p.m. By the way, I was listening to the radio of the final baseball game at the desk last night, but LOTTE Marines won the Tigers for the victory of Japan after an interval of 31 years. Mr. Bobby Valentine led the team to the victory. Congratulations! LOTTE, sweet manufacture, all players, supporters and Bobby!! And congratulations! White Sox, too. Iguchi, one of the team players, joined the team from Japan this year. Good job! (OCT/27)  photo

HEAD BUTT
10.27.05 (1:31 pm)   [edit]
It was a fine today. I was in my house all day. I watched TV drama last night to see Erica. I bought a used book of French at $1 yesterday, thought, I knew the mother of Erika seemed to be French by chance in the Internet. She was born in 1986. She is a so beautiful girl. I like her. I watched her drama every Tuesdays. I would like to appear on a movie with her. I am as used bookstore's master that Erica calls at often on her way home. She is as a student in high school of Korea in Kyoto. I would like Mr. Izutsu to offer to me to join the movie. I will receive his offer with no problem. The title of the movie is Head Butt. I think I am going to debut on the movie as actor.  (OCT/26)  photo

GO OUT
10.26.05 (1:37 pm)   [edit]
I woke up at 4:30. It was a fine day today. I drove mom to the field at 10:30 this morning, and dropped her off there, and went to a used bookstore.I bought three books, about a radio ham, French, and English, each book $1.And I went to 100 yen shop. I spent $7 there. I came back home at 12:30.(OCT/25)  photo

WARM PLACE
10.25.05 (1:14 pm)   [edit]
I woke up at 5:30. It was a fine day today. I have been in my room all day. Basically I was in futon all day despite of no illness. Mom walked to a house of relation at 8:45 a.m. and came back home at 3:30 p.m. (OCT/24)  photo

THUNDERSTORM
10.24.05 (2:12 pm)   [edit]
I woke up at 6:30. When I woke up, there was a thunderstorm here. It was staying until 8:30. The terrible thunderstorm went away around 8:30at last. I drove mom to a hall to join the festival of respect for the old in the rain at 9:30. Basically I was staying in my room all day. I took her call from there, so I went there to pick her up at 1:30 in the rain. But it stopped falling after that soon. I had a slight headache from yesterday. I will make a coffee with this pot, and eat Haginotsuki with Nescafe coffee that Miss Hermes' favorite.  (OCT/23)  photo

CAR LICENSE
10.23.05 (1:16 pm)   [edit]
I woke up at 6:30. It was chilly and rainy day all day today. I was in futon all day and studied today. So there was no news about me today. By the way, Michiko has an only daughter, Sayako. According to newspaper of today, Sayako was called Saya by me and Japanese people as her nick name, Saya got a car license in Fuchu at last yesterday. I checked my license just now, but I also got a car license at the same place at the same date on October 21.I got it just 21 years ago. Congratulations! Saya. I also got a motorcycle license there to take technical test like you. We are on the same boat. She was looked poor athlete, but she got a license at once. She was almost on the back seat whenever she got into the car for a long time. But she was a back seat driver in only father's car so she could not drive a car at all, but she would marry Mr. Kuroda next month, so she would become a commoner from a princess, so she made up her mind to try to get a car license. Mainly she was practicing in the royal residence, but I watched her on TV news that she was practicing to drive with Honda Civic on the public roads. I also had Civic. Miss Hermes drove Mazda Demio, but my first car was Civic. A car that I drove for the first time on the road after having car license was Mazda Familer, rental car. Mr. Kuroda who have been crazy about cars will get into the passenger's seat of Saya's to go for shopping and so on. She got her driver's seat at last.(OCT/22)  photo

FOR GERMAN
10.22.05 (2:03 pm)   [edit]
I woke up at quarter past five. Last night I could fall asleep at 2 a.m. at last. It was fine this morning, but it was cloudy in the afternoon. I went to a bookstore at the middle of the city at 1:30, and bought radio German textbook. And called at the field on my way home to pick mom up with crops. We came home at 2. I was listening to the radio in futon after having dinner. By the way, this roll cake's name is Delicious macoron roll by Shiraishi at $1.8 on today's picture. Mom did not say she wanted to eat a cake like this almost, but she asked me whether she might eat this roll cake or not. Of course, it is okay. I want to give Miss Hermes this cake, too, and I want to eat this cake with her together. (OCT/21)  photo

BIRTHDAY OF MICHIKO
10.21.05 (2:11 pm)   [edit]
I woke up at quarter to six. Mom already got up, and left home to go to Morioka by bus at 6:30, because Buddhists festival was held today. It was cloudy this morning, but it was raining sometimes in the morning, but it started clearing up late afternoon. I went to DIY store by car at 10, and bought kerosene 96 liters with five plastic tanks because the price would be raised shortly. 60 yen per litter still. I called at a bookstore next the store, and came back home at 11. I started doing the laundry as just I came back home. It was over at 12:30. Mom went home at 5:30. By the way, do you know an animation movie "My Neighbor Totoro" by Mr. Miyazaki?  This cake is from Totoro. It looks like animal, but Totoro is a kind of raccoon dogs, I think, but it is a fairy in woods in Japan. My sister bought this cake at cake store, Marron, in this city, it means a chestnut in French, and gave us as my mom's birthday present the other days. However, according to an e-mail from the sister, she got a cold and had a fever, and went to a clinic to see a doctor two days ago, and seemed to be absence from work because of illness for two days. Take care! I sent her so. By the way, today is the day Michiko was born. October 20 is the birthday of Michiko. Michiko is Her Majesty the Empress of Japan.  (OCT/20)  photo

IN FUTON
10.20.05 (2:00 pm)   [edit]
I woke up at 5:30. It was warmly and sunny day today. I took a painkiller before I fell asleep, but when I woke up, I already had a slight headache. However, I felt better at 8 as I knew. Basically I was in futon all day long in daytime. I was listening to the radio. I went into futon at 7, and went into sleep after 11 p.m.  (OCT/19)  photo

HEADACHE
10.19.05 (2:09 pm)   [edit]
I woke up at 5:30. It was cloudy today. I had a slight headache when I already woke up, so I took a cold medicine after having meal. And I was sleeping in futon from 10 until 12. But it got worse than before. I drove a supermarket with mom at 2. I bought a textbook. We came back home at3. A headache started getting well after having a cup of tea and a cake at 3. I watched TV drama to see Erica tonight. (OCT/18)  photo

LOTTE MARINES
10.18.05 (2:05 pm)   [edit]
I woke up at 4:50. I sent mom to the filed by car at 5:40 and went there again to picked her up at 8. She went to nearby temple at noon and came back home at 3. It was warmly and a fine day from 10 a.m. today. But I felt tired so I have stayed home all day except of the filed. I turned on a kerosene fun heater for the first time in this fall today at last. By the way, I was listening to the radio of the final baseball game in futon without watching TV drama tonight, but LOTTE won the victory after an interval of 31 years. The team won the championship in Sendai near my city since 1974. Mr. Bobby Valentine who was the manager led the victory. Congratulations! Bobby and LOTTE Chiba Marines and all players and supporters! However, I really concentrated my attention on the game because of no picture, so I noticed that I had a slight headache after the game. I fell a sleep at 11:30.(OCT/17)  photo

ENGLISH EXAM
10.17.05 (2:20 pm)   [edit]
I woke up at 5:30, but it was raining then. So I did not think it would do cleaning for the road in neighborhood this morning. It was lucky for me, because I was going to take an important English exam today. But it stopped falling shortly, and I had to get to go to meeting place to join the work. I joined the task that was held three times a year with neighbors from six until seven. Anyway, I was glad that I did not have a cold by the task. My mom went to nearby temple to join an event of that at 9. I was studying English until leaving home. I read an English wordbook and listened to the MD for listening test in futon. When I tried to go to the school to take the exam, mom came back home at just noon. And I went there without talking about the exam to her. So she did not know about the exam that I took at all because I was not sure whether I would pass through the exam. She got a license of Buddhism song this year, so I wonder if I also wanted to get a license against my learning subject. Anyway, I went to a supermarket near the high school, and bought a box of corn soup and a roll cake there. And I walked there on foot at 10 minutes to 1. There were some children with their parents around reception desk. I went into the room and sit down the chair. There were about ten persons to take the test in the classroom. A watchman of the exam came to the room at 1, but it did not begin easily, and it began 1:30 at last. At first a paper test for 45 questions for 75 minutes. Next, a listening test for 30 questions for 23 minutes.  And it was over at 2:45 at last. I took the second grade exam, but it was for the first time for me. I took the exam since car license after an interval of 22 years. My impression? It was quite difficult for me. I almost depended on my intuition. So I did not think I would pass through the exam. I bought a hot can coffee by vender machine on the way to the parking, and took the coffee in the car. I was thirsty during the exam because I was too nervous. I came back home at 3:30. By the way, this is a fat frog that went into the pipe and was trying to turn to the back.(OCT/16)  photo

IN FUTON
10.16.05 (3:21 pm)   [edit]
I woke up at quarter to six this morning, and turned on the radio at once. It was raining from when I woke up. Today was rainy all day today. So basically I was in my room today. But I went to nearby bank to take savings out by carat 9:30 in the rain. If it was not raining in the morning, I would have gone to the bank by scooter. By the way, I was studying English words in futon, but I had a cough yesterday, so I took a cough medicine syrup in case this afternoon. By the way, I am afraid that we have not been able to see this frog since this afternoon. Maybe it might have moved into under ground to hibernate in the winter. I went asleep at 10.  (OCT/15)  photo

SPECIAL CAKE
10.15.05 (2:05 pm)   [edit]
I woke up at quarter past five this morning. As soon as I wake up, I turn on the radio beside my futon every morning. And I am reading newspaper in futon as I listen to the radio. It is my daily work in early morning every morning. Basically it was a fine and warm day today. It was like Indian summer. By the way, my mom said to me that she wanted to pull azuki beans out of the field after having breakfast, so I drove her there at half past nine. And I went there again at 11to pick her up at 11o'clock. She brought a bag of the beans and a lot of leeks. And she took a shower and had a meal and went to the temple to practice Buddhism songs noon. When I was reading English wordbook at 2 o'clock, my sister came to my house suddenly. She bought cakes and brought them for us, she bought a pot at electrical store and gave my mom as her birthday present because it was broken a little. She said to me that her son at high school could not good scores at electrical engineering. "Would you teach him electrical engineering?" But I said to her that I could not understand the subject at all, so I answered her that I could not take on the job, but I could teach him it if it was English because I have been learning English. She asked me to teach him English. I replied to her that it was okay if he wanted. She enjoyed playing with a turtle in the water tank, and went back home at 2:40 p.m. Mom ate the special cake, looked like mouse, for dinner. It was left on the table because I would eat tomorrow. I went into futon after dinner and listened to English questions for the exam by MD tonight. By the way, the store my sister bought the pot was K's on the car roof.(OCT/14)  photo

MY AGONY
10.14.05 (1:18 pm)   [edit]
I woke up at 5:30 this morning, too. My mom went to a hot spring by bus with neighbors this morning. And she came back home at 3:30 p.m. I went to DIY store to buy lubber gloves at 11 a.m. And I got into the box, and took my face's picture for the exam with the automatic picture machine in front of the store. Its cost was $6 for four thumbnail pictures. I was disappointed about my ability of English. I could not solve those questions at even half of that. The score was worse than last year. By the way, this steam locomotive with blue trains was running to Morioka station, 100km away. It takes three hours and 20 minutes to reach the station. I used to see steam locomotives every day when I was a first-grade pupil in 1967 on the way to school or home. So I saw a running steam locomotive after an interval of over 35 years. But I have never got into a steam locomotive's train.  (OCT/13)  photo

ENGLISH EXAM
10.13.05 (2:02 pm)   [edit]
I woke up and got up after half past five this morning. And I went to downstairs to bring a newspaper soon, and I was reading the paper as I listened to the radio in futon every morning. And I was listening to a radio English course from 6 o'clock from this month for quarter every morning. We can listen to the Irish English on the radio program. The program is "Basic English 1." It was the easiest English course, mainly seventh grade-pupils listen to the program. Listening to Irish English is really fun. By the way, I was in home all day today too. My mom was in home too, and she was doing needlework all day today. She was fixing my futon that was kotasu futon. I put it on my leg and used it at the chair to get warm as I used PC in the winter. It was a fine and warm today. But my heart got cloudy, because I could get only half marks of the English test. I would not pass the exam even at the paper test probably. I mistook the grade that I chose. I should have chosen easier grade. And I do not take the test since 1983. But I have to go the place to take the exam because I had already paid the money. I wish I passed the exam. By the way, there are a lot of people who get together to see a steam locomotive with trains on the bank of the river of the other side, too. When I took this picture, the train started running from the station. We could hear the steam whistle that made us know leaving there. Do you remember my motorcycle's accident in this spring? It was stopped below the bridge because the engine broke suddenly in April 16.   (OCT/12)  photo

MR. SUGIHARA
10.12.05 (3:14 pm)   [edit]
I woke up at 5 o'clock this morning. Basically it was cloudy today. They of newspaper took a day off today, so a paper was not delivered this morning. I was also in my room all day today without going out. I lay on cushion under the futon, and read English wordbook or listen to the radio in daytime. I mean, mom did not go out today, too. She also cleaned up in my house this morning, and worked in the garden in the afternoon. I watched TV tonight after having meal with hot alcohol for runny nose and taking a medicine of cold. TV drama I watched tonight was "The story of Mr. Sugihara." Mr. Sugihara was an ambassador to Lithuania of Japan in the Second World War. He gave Jewish people visa to pass through Japan to go to America. He helped their 6,000 people's life from slaughter like Mr. Schindler. I heard his wife, Yukiko, was born and grown in our prefecture. She really helped him. But he disobeyed country's command, and was giving them visa, so he lost job in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by that when he with his family came back to Japan from Romania in 1946. After all he could not come back to the office in his life, and his name was not almost known even in Japan, too. However, he was recognized of his brave action from Israel Government in 1985. However, he left from this world the next year. By the way, as you can see, there area large number of people there on today's picture. They and I were waiting for a steam locomotive train. The locomotive is D51-498. It leaves from Ichinoseki station at 8:39. So it is before one minute until the train left from the station, according to this picture that said the time. When I came here by my motorcycle at 8:30, a lot of people already have gathered there to see the train. Running a steam locomotive on the Tohoku Line was after an interval of 12 years. It runs for three days from Oct. 8 to Oct. 10.  (OCT/11)  photo

IN FUTON
10.11.05 (2:57 pm)   [edit]
I wonder why I wake up at early morning every day. I woke up at 4 o'clock this morning, too. My mom did not go to the field to work this morning unusually, and she was cleaning by a vacuum cleaner in the house from early morning until noon. It was cloudy all day today. I have been staying in the house, especially I was lying in futon all day long to study English words because it was cold. I went into futon again after having dinner to listen to the radio. By the way, mom had said this was a pea plant before, but this was not a pea plant of Jack in the garden, I found this was a morning glory like this. So these plants almost fell down by typhoon as a pea plant last month. Please click pea under here! (OCT/10)  photo

STEAM LOCOMOTIVE
10.10.05 (2:03 pm)   [edit]
I went into sleep at 11 p.m. last night, though, I woke up at 4:40 this morning naturally. My mom walked to the field about at 5:30. I went thereto pick her up at 8 o'clock after updating for my web page. We called at a public hall near the field after she got into car to vote for a municipal assemble before going home. As soon as we came back home, I took my motorcycle out to get on it after an interval of 21 days. It was woken up by my kick at only five or six times. And I went to a railroad bridge to take pictures for my web page, because a steam locomotive would run on the bridge. But the road on the bank of the river in front of the railroad bridge was so rough that I chose the motorcycle to go there. Luckily, it was fine day from the morning. When I went there, there were a large number of people there than I thought. Of course, they came there to look at the old steam locomotive. As soon as I stopped my iron horse on the grasses of the bank, one man who set a camera with a long zoom lens asked me whether a car could run through the rough road. I was wearing a ski goggle because I was embarrassed in a lot of people. I was a shy old boy. I could take some pictures of the train. I rode it on the rough road and came back home at 8:50. And I watched Formula-1 in Japan on TV for the first time in this year this afternoon for an hour, and watched Sayuri on the videotape of the film from TV tonight. And I went to futon at 9:30. By the way, this was a frog that I happened to find at the garden and take a picture, and put it into the plastic bowl like that snails.  (OCT/9)  photo

GRANDMA'S DEATHDAY
10.09.05 (2:07 pm)   [edit]
I woke up at 5 o'clock by the sound of motorbike of newspaper boy. I got out of futon and went down stairs to take a newspaper at half past 5. When I opened the entrance's sliding door and out to take a paper from the mailbox, I felt it was strangely warm. By the way, I had a slight headache when I woke up. I thought it was hangover. I had another can beer (0.3 liters)in the fridge that my sister gave me a couple weeks ago during supper last night at 6. I almost fell down to be dizzy. But I like a strong beer like that. I shared and gave her 0.05 liters from the can every dinner. By the way, my mom went to another nearby temple by the car of dad's little brother before 9 together. I heard that it was 32 years since my grandma, dad's mom, died. She passed away in Oct. 1973 when I was at junior high school. It was held a memorial service on the 33rd anniversary of her death today. They called at dad's parental home after the ceremony, and came back home at quarter past 1. It started raining from at half past nine, basically it was rainy day today. But it was not cold despite of rainy. I took a cold medicine as a painkiller after having lunch, but it did not go out of my head easily. But I began getting the effect of that from early evening, so I got well tonight at last. I listened to the radio in futon from 7 to 11 p.m. and fell a sleep soon. By the way, I tried to put them into this plastic bowl with water to help, then, only big snail survived in five minutes like this. But small one did not change at all. It got a little bit small at deep in the shell for a dry. I put them on leaves near the place where I helped. The small one might have lived after that there again. (OCT/8)  photo

HER SOUVENIR
10.08.05 (2:10 pm)   [edit]
I went to futon soon after watching TV drama at 11:30 last night. And I woke up and got out of futon at 10 minutes to six o'clock this morning, because I had to take a trash bag out. I went to a shed with the bag by scooter to take it out soon. Taking trash out is my job. My scooter was woken up by my only one kick despite of hardly using. My car is also woken up at once just as soon as when I turn the key. My mom and I went to a nearby supermarket by that car at 10 when the store opened. She asked me to buy two box of can beers. A box of beers has 24 cans (0.35ml) at$22. I bought two of them piled on the floor. They were for two homes. We visited their homes where they had given us chopped rice straw with the box of beers in reward for that. There was a old woman at the first house, and I put it on the floor at the entrance to give it as a present. She seemed to be glad of that. We were glad of her like that. And we went to next home soon, but there was no person in the house. There was a dog in the garden, and was barking us as its job. Therefore, we put it under the eaves outside near the dog like last year. And we came back home at 10:40. Mom also went out at 1 o'clock to visit her friend's houses on foot. My big sister came to my house suddenly at 10 minutes to 3. She said to me that she went to a clinic in Morioka, 100km(63miles) away to north, to see a doctor by the Shinkansen, a super express. She is visiting the clinic a few times a year. She bought and gave us a box of famous sweet "Hagi no Tuki (The moon of a Japanese bush clover)"as a souvenir despite of a souvenir in Sendai, 100km(63miles) away to south. I heard that it was sold at the Morioka station. But it was good because it was my favorite sweet. I did not know why, but she really interested in Formula 1 now, a kind of car races. It is one of the greatest car races in the world. It was held in Suzuka on this weekend, Japan. She is crazy about the race now, so she said that she would record on videotape to the race on TV because she would be at workplace at that time. She was enjoying with Kamekiti in the water tank, and went home 15 minutes later. Mom came back home at 5:30 p.m. I watched a video to TV drama "Red Destiny" that I videoed at last night, tonight too. And I went into sleep easily at about 11 p.m. By the way, these are snails. They were on a stairs on my way to a shed, but I happened to find them. This big one stuck on the concrete like this, but a small one was dropped on the ground near the big one. I saw snails here every year sometimes, but I thought it was after raining. But the concrete was dried soon, so they could not move from there. I have helped a couple of snails here before.   (OCT/7)  photo

TWO DRAMAS
10.07.05 (2:02 pm)   [edit]
I woke up at 5:40. Basically it was fine day today. Mom left home at 9 o'clock to go to a temple to practice Buddhism songs. She came back home at 3:40 p.m. I had been staying home all day long today. I watched two TV dramas "Red Destiny" and "Train Man" tonight. They were both the last story. I went to futon at 11:30.  (OCT/6)  photo

WORKING DAY
10.06.05 (2:00 pm)   [edit]
I woke up at 5:50. But today was busy. I had to go to the field today. We had to carry so much chopped rice straw to pile them at the field for next year. Mom's sister and we carried given them to our field from next rice field. Mom, her sister, nephew and I did a compost pile there in the rain last year, too. But this year was fine. We took a rest with cider or cola at 10under the sun, and took lunch for an hour slowly under the sun at the field. We left there and came back home at 1 p.m. I was mowing grasses at the field after taking a rest, but I mowed grasses at car park, too. I think it was last mowing grasses in this year. I watched TV drama "Red Destiny" tonight, too. I really pitied Haruka who was a heroine of the drama this night, too. (OCT/6)  photo

RED DISTINY
10.05.05 (2:14 pm)   [edit]
I went to sleep at 0 a.m. last night, but in spite of that, I woke up at 5:30 naturally this morning. I wanted to sleep more. I could not sleep only five and half time in this two days. I drove mom to her old classmate instant house for election today again. But before that, I called at supermarket because she bought green tea to take it there as a present. I bought a textbook at bookstore next to the store while I was waiting for her. We called at relative's house to get her coat that was left behind when she had visited there the other day on my way there. And then, she visited the prefab to give green tea. She met her wife. We came back home in an hour from leaving home at 11 a.m. A guest visited my house from next town, and he stayed for an hour and left my house at 1. I watched a drama that Haruka was on TV tonight from 9 to 11. I went to sleep at 11:30.(OCT/4)  photo

NATIONAL CENSUS
10.04.05 (2:07 pm)   [edit]
A watch of a stereo timer beside my futon said it was at 3:30 when I woke up. I slept at 10 p.m. last night, though. I could not fall asleep easily again. When a newspaper was derived at 4:30, I got out of futon and went down stairs to take it soon. I drove mom who woke up after me to the field at 5:30 this morning, too. Anyway, it was not brightened outside unless it was after 5:30 now, so she did not have to wake up at early time now. When I picked her up and came back home, one woman had just come to my house. She was a census taker. She came to my house to take a paper of a national census. It is enforced once per five years. Luckily, I filled in the form last night. It was very easy than I thought. Mom gave it to her of neighbor. She opened the envelope and checked the form. A couple of guests came to my house to see mom until early evening today. By the way, when mom was at the garden to work this morning, she found dropped dead frog, she said to me so at noon. It was that fat white frog where it was on a wash-line pole. It seemed to be pressed with an aluminum sash window frame, according to her. That's too bad. I did not see the frog there yesterday. But another white small one was in the pipe today. That's a relief. We should be in safe home. I watched TV to see Miss Hermes from 9 p.m. to 11:30. Erica was pretty girl, too. Her team won on the TV. I went to futon at 0. My eyes got tired a little bit today. By the way, this is a sushi-pack that was given us as a lunch at a sports festival of this area. It was what it was sold at a nearby supermarket. I paired with the census taker at the event. She was well built, I thought she seemed to be the biggest person in all members in the gym, so we were unbalanced, but we got the third place at the game that a man and a woman turned each back to partner and put my arm through hers and carried a soccer ball.   (OCT/3)  photo

MOM'S NIECES
10.03.05 (2:19 pm)   [edit]
I got up at 6 and went to take a newspaper. We had breakfast at 7. It was early for us. And I drove mom to a prefabricated house of her old classmate at elementary school in the rain to give help at 8. He stands as a candidate for a city councilman. She visited there for the first time. There were a lot of people in front of the house and outside. I saw a lot of gathering people like that on my way home at some places, because this city started election of a municipal assembly from today for a week. She called at niece house near the house, and she was sent to my house by her niece's husband by car at 1 p.m. It was raining in the morning, but it stopped raining noon and turned cloudy in the afternoon. But her niece who mom visited a couple of hours ago and the niece's younger sister came to my house by the sister's light truck at 4 suddenly. I knew after they left home that the niece had been not in her house as mom visited. I heard the sisters visited their other sister's house to make homemade cooking today, and they brought a bag of rice from other sister as her present. The sisters and mom were singing with karaoke of mom's CD in the living room for an hour since that. They left home to go back their homes at 5. I watched TV from 7 to 9, and fell asleep at 10. By the way, this is tofu including perilla in the fridge that mom bought at supermarket.(OCT/2)  photo

MOM'S BIRTHDAY
10.02.05 (1:58 pm)   [edit]
I woke up at 4:40, and sent mom to the field at 5:30, and picked her up at 8 again. It is a kind of her hobby. She likes working at field. She does not sell her crops, plants them for us, and gives a little for her friends or relations sometimes. It was a good timing that it started raining at 8. But it was rainy day all day after that. It was cold. I lay down on the cushion, and saw an English wordbook this morning. But I had taken a nap there for about half hour because of lack of sleep. I put thin blanket on my body, but I got a slight cold after taking a short nap. My nose got to be runny nose after that all day. I took a bath and took a cold medicine and went to futon to listen to the radio and read the wordbook at 7 p.m. and I went to sleep at 9:45. By the way, today was mom's birthday. But there was not her birthday party, and did not even get a present. Poor mom! She gave a present, a heater, to Kamekiti, though. According to newspaper, Kamekiti is called "midori-game(green turtle)" in Japan, but it seems to be really called "Mississippi red ear tortoise." I mean, Kamekiti seems to be come from Mississippi. Kamekiti's ancestors were living in the Mississippi. It says the kind of the turtle would become 28.5cm(0.9 feet), 2.5kg (6ponds) if it would have become the biggest. This water is not green, basically it is clear, but moss is stuck on the tank. I think Kamekiti begins to be similar to Gamera, Japanese turtle monster, little by little. And it says Kamekitiis an omnivorous feeder. But we do too. This is udon, made from flour. We ate it with hot soy soup in the bowl. He is looking at floating feeds on the water surface.  (OCT/1)  photo
