It was fine and too warm all day long. I have been staying home all day unusually. By the way, the urchin green turtle that we have did not eat feed suddenly yesterday. I thought it was because I would not have stayed home for long time a few days. Anyone gave feed to it, so it forgot to get feed. As you may know about that, the green turtle ran away from the water tank on June 18. It sure was in the tank when I took this picture at 16:40. But when I looked into the tank at 17:50 again, there was an only upside-down light green turtle in the water. The green one was not there. I started looking for the turtle at once with a flash light. My house is narrow, but it was not found out. I gave up the search once in a half hour. But when I closed the curtain, I heard the sound that it dropped on tatami mat, and I could grab it at last again, then it could come back home, and it could survive. Let me explain the way how it ran away from the tank. Please look at this picture that I drew. I put the flat stone on top of the mountain of the tank that day. Turtles seem to like to be at higher place as well as in the water. So this light green turtle climbed the stone on the mountain. When I saw the tank at last, this light green one was on the stone like this. That green one seemed to climb on this light green one. Then, its neck reached for upper, and it reached a wire netting, it ran away on the mesh to the curtain. It climbed the curtain by nails. I mean, the mesh for guarding from cats was to be helping for running away. There was an ant in the uninhabited island the other day, but it was also a kind of the same way. This survive green turtle is cowardice, but it is moving very quick. I think it is one of Ninja Turtles. It is tough, so I do not have to take care of it carefully than before. (JUN/30) photo

I woke up at 7 o'clock this morning. Today was nice and hot. But I put on a tie and I visited neighbor house at half past 10 today, too. We got on the bus this afternoon to go to a hall on the top of the mountain, and I had sushi, and beer with peanuts there for two hours. I came back home by the bus at half past four. By the way, I sent her e-mail to FM radio station in Tokyo before I went there, she read my e-mail on the radio after 10 a.m. It was the second times that my e-mail was read on her radio program since 9/2003when I sent e-mail for the first time. | VISITING HOUSES |

I woke up at half past four by ringing of telephone. I went to sleep at 12:30 last night. I walked to a house at the deepest mountain in neighborhood with a leader of neighborhood this year at 10 a.m. And I visited to large number of house with a next door old man by my car from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for 2.5 hours almost neighborhood because he did not had a car license. We looked for the house that old neighbor's lived for an hour. We came back to the house of neighborhood once at17:30. And we looked for and visited to a few house in the mountain after that from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the shower raining. We came back to the neighbor house at 7 p.m. I had a dinner and beer at the house. My mom and me walked and came back home at 9 p.m. in the darkness. By the way, according to an illustrated reference book for insects as I was the third grade pupil, it seemed "Koshiaki Dragonfly" and I read it is seen near pond. Koshiaki in Japanese means that it is beyond autumn. This dragonfly seemed to be not used to human being at all. It did not run away. But a part of the left front foot was broken. Anyway, I did not the reason, but this pretty dragonfly that I saw for the first time kept staying on the screen door for two hours in windy. (JUN/28) photo

| BLESSED RAIN |

It was rainy all day today after a long time. I woke up at 4 o'clock this morning by rainy sound from roof. I heard thunder from far away after that. But raining was short time sometimes until 8 a.m. However, it has been a little heavy raining all day from 9 a.m. We hoped that it was raining because we did not go into rainy season here these days. Not enough rain is bad for rice fields and crops. I saw a dry rice field that is next to upper field beyondthe bank yesterday when I went to the field to mow grasses. Our field has dried completely, and I mowed grasses on the bank where a lot of tiny pretty tree frogs lived, so what a relief! by a blessed rain. And I was glad that today was not yesterday. If today was yesterday, we (danka) would have had to mow grasses around graves with a rain coat in the rain. It was too muggy. Danka is not Dunke in German. Und Ihnen? (and you?) in German, it sounds like "Is it very good?" in Japanese around Osaka. Today is cooler than yesterday, so I am in a sweatshirt. I had a cup of hot coffee today when I took a break, but it was a recess for me all day long. By the way, today's picture is a rice bag, but it says this rice name "Iwate pure heart rice" and Iwate (our prefecture) is printed on the paper. There is a red banner on the bag, and there are six Japanese characters on the banner, but the right kanji character (looks like *) means rice(kome). I know that America sure plants rice especially in California, but I do not why kome means the United States of America, too, from over 150 years ago. The character corresponds to "me" of America. | MOWING GRASSES |

It was the worst muggy night last night. So I woke up sometimes in the middle of the night. I woke up at 4 o'clock by sound of opening the curtain by mom this morning. She went to the nearby temple to clean the grave of her husband (1929-1997) at 4:30. It needs a 10-minutes walk until there. She came back home at 7:30 despite going to the temple until 8:30 for me. I went to the temple to clean in the temple by scooter at 8:30. Danka, the temple's members who have each grave get together twice a year to mow grasses in the temple. June and September. If we did not join the cleaning event, we have to paid the temple $30. I was drenched in sweat despite in a thin cloth. So I had runny nose and sneezed a couple times "hakushion! (ahchoo!)". But anyone did not say to me "God bless you!" It's because we were in the Buddhist temple. If you say it, you might say like this, "Buddha bless you! " I came back home at 11 a.m. with a can sports drink and cookie as a present from the temple. It was better because it was cloudy and a little cooler than yesterday. I mowed grasses at a parking by mowing machine at 12:30. And my mom and I went to the field together by car at 1 p.m. I mowed grassed in the field by mowing machine, and my mom harvested onions. There were a lot of very tiny tree frogs in the grasses. It rained hardly recently, so I raised a cloud of dust from the ground of the field by the machine now and then. I carried five bags that were filled with onions to the car. I called to a convenience store to buy two bottles of cola and two ice creams. I gave my mom 500 yen to have her buy them. We came back home at 3. She hanged them to the wood pole to dry soon. They had a heat. My mom made a call to a nearby restaurant to order delivery dishes before leaving for there. Those dishes were delivered to us by woman at 5 o'clock. We opened two can beers for them unusually.(JUN/26) photo

| MUGGY WEEK |

Today is also hot day. It was fine from morning, but it got dark and was started raining at 13:00. But it stopped in a minute. It has been very muggy over this week. It was still hot at 4 p.m. but I also turned on PC today despite 29.5 degrees. I am tired of waiting time for PC under 25degrees. By the way, I saw a movie "Robin Hood (1991)" on TV last night. At first I was watching it as the story of Wilhelm Tell because he shot a bow very well. I could not hardly understand English of the film, but it was very good film for me. I like historical movie. By the way, I tidied up the basement to put PC from noon. This year is the second year of that. I put PC in the basement for the first time last summer. But the desk for PC was covered with green mold, so I put a thick board being there instead of that, and I put PC on it. A keyboard was what I bought at $5 at Kitakami. A mouse that I bought at DIY store at $7 was not recognized at the PC, so it was changed to a mouse of 535's that I used at the second floor. I copied "My favorite" for the Internet browser from 535 to Hitachi at the basement by LAN. Then I did very important update of Windows 2000 of Hitachi Flora that I got at auction site in January this year. By the way, let me explain today's picture. Can you see one of stores of the biggest Japanese supermarket chain Jasco in this area and next door big DIY store Hormac in Maesawa? The Route 4 is passing through in front of the store that goes side by side with this river. There is a central town of Maesawa-cyo between those stores and woods. This city of about 15,000.As you can see, there are a lot of rice fields around this area. Tabashine means bound rice. I cross the bridge above the river often.(JUN/25) photo

Today was too hot day. I wonder where the rainy season went to. Today's temperature was over 30 degrees. My mom took away kotatsu, Japanese traditional heater with futon, in the living room this morning at last. I put away a halogen heater to the basement in front of the bathroom today, and I took out an electric fan and I was in the underpants only in my room. Anyway, I went to a nearby clinic for my mom by scooter this morning, so I put a trash bag on the board of the scooter, then I putout it in the shed on my way to there. As soon as I got at the clinic, I got into it and I put her card into a plastic box to see a doctor earlier without long waiting time at 8:30. As soon as I came back home, I started having breakfast at once. I repaired a screen door after meal. The upper screen door of repaired door the other day was broken. My older sister came to my home at 11 o'clock. She and mom and I had cold Chinese green noodles served on a wickerwork and hot takoyaki (octopus ball) that my sister bought at supermarket for lunch. I did laundry during meal. I wondered if these octopuses also came from Morocco then. I like octopus ball unlike her. I said to my sister, "Although Star Wars will be on TV tonight, but are you going to see the film?" "Star Wars which?" "Star Wars in 1999 that you and your son and I watched in the theater together." I brought Star Wars Box (episode 4.5.6) that I got at auction site at $15 for her from my room with me, then. She was watching the first Star Wars (1977). She said that she had not known about Star Wars until episode 4 at all. She was stuck in the film series about this time. She gave me six can beers, so she could borrow the box from me for a month. She left for the clinic with mom to send at 2 o'clock. I have a rule myself to use PC. "I must not use PC over 25(77) degrees in my room." I turn on PC at 3 p.m. usually, but it was over 30(86) degrees then. I was waiting until the temperature was down to 25 degrees. But it did not be down easily, so I put ADSL cable into a tiny hall to the basement to use the Internet in summer with Hitachi PC 310. The thermometer said in my room at 16:30, "29.5 degrees." It got lower 30 degrees at last. I cannot wait the time that it will be 25 degrees, so I turned on the PC despite 29.5 degrees. It says 28.5 degrees now. My daily update will be late from now on than usual time for the PC health and my condition during hot season, and my daily journal will be short than now because I would not like to use PC for long time for the PC health. Anyway, I am opening the window behind PC despite hot me for PC. But the window in front of me is been closing instead of that. So I am hot anytime whenever I use PC. I do not have a cooler. | SLIGHT HANGOVER |

When I woke up and turned on the radio this morning, the soccer match in Germany, Japan VS Brazil, 2 - 2 in loss time. But I was afraid that I had a headache again. It was hangover. I drank a can beer (0.35 liters) with rice crackers and peanuts before I went to futon at 11 p.m. unusually, because I was starving then. I said to myself, "Bottoms up!" As you know, it was late when my mom came back home, and she began to dry her laundry clothes that she did finish before leaving home after that. So I had a cup of leaving noodle of yesterday with soup in the fridge. I added an egg into it, and put it into a microwave. But it was not so much. I drank beer in dinner these days because I did not get hangover. So I did not want to drink beer last night at before sleeping, and I had had a headache until yesterday, but I could not win to starving and thirsty. After all I felt slight sick this morning again. I felt blue. I get drunk easily recently, but she must be a heavy drinker. That's why I got a day off for illness again. I laid down on tatami mat all day long. And I was sober after 3 p.m. at last. This week is a headache week for me. It is bad week. And it was hot day today, too, despite cloudy. It was just like coming summer. I wondered if my mom got tired because she woke up after 7 a.m. this morning. She usually wake up at 4 a.m. She also laid down on tatami mat in front of TV all day. But the electricity was cut off for a construction of telegraph pole in neighborhood from 9 a.m. to 10:40, so she did not watch TV during that working. I was listening to the AM radio that I bought at 100-yen shop. I had 100-yen FM radio, too, but it did not work right. (JUN/23) photo

5:00, I woke up. 7:00, I went to a hospital to put my mom's patient's registration card into the box by car. Then I went into a convenience store next door. I bought two ice creams because I was dying to eat it yesterday, and bread that filled with mixed cut into tiny pieces eggs and mayonnaise. There was a local bread factory there in old days. I was eating an ice bar as I drove. That headache was already gone this morning. 9:30, I drove my mom to the hospital. Then, I went to DIY store. I found one medicine for fishes. It was for white mold on the fish. I got sad when I saw it. Then I walked to a bookstore. I bought a textbook of TV English program. And I copied a document to some pieces of papers. A3 size copied paper is 10 yen per a piece of paper. I was asked from my mom that I would copy song words paper of cassette by zoom-up. 11:00, a Black Cat deliveryman came to my house with a box. It was a used CD player that I got at auction site. It was a parcel C.O.D.(cash on delivery), so I paid him $11 as the postage, and I got it. It was cloudy but too warmly day today, too. I tried to pump up kerosene from the tank of all heaters with a syringe at last, because old kerosene would make any trouble to them. We have three tanks, so my fingers got dirty by kerosene and got itch a little. I got them together, I poured it into the kerosene tank of the bath. I noticed that it was almost empty then. I moved all leaving kerosene to the tank from the big kerosene tank with a plastic tank and a hand pump. 15:00, I turned on the PC because I could not wait her call, but her call reached me soon after that. I was irritated from that. I picked up the phone, and she said to me, "My business was over now. Can you come here? " "Come on, mom! Although I went to the hospital with your card at 7 a.m., do you know what time it is now? This time is also usual time, isn't it? Give me a break!" She called at the eyes doctor after that as usual, but it was too late. But "Can I get a ride?" I did not answer anything to her, I just hung up the phone. I woke up at 3 o'clock this morning. I heard from radio that today is the summer solstice. It was already a little bright then outside, but it should be darker than Scandinavia, Iceland, Alaska, and Greenland and so on. I sad what daytime are getting short day by day from now on. Today was too warm. The maximum temperature was over 30 degrees for the first time in this year despite slightly cloudy. So I am in a T-shirt, and I have stayed home all day. But I had a headache from when I woke up yet. I thought this high temperature would make me go worse. Although, my headache was the third day, it was better than yesterday, but basically the headache have been staying in my head today, too. I think it will go away from my head sooner or later tomorrow. You know, in the worst case, my usual headache keeps staying in my head for three days at least whether I took a medicine or not, and it travels around in my head for three days. About it comes to me once a month like period pains. I would have liked to go to nearby convenience store by scooter to buy ice cream today. We wanted cool air all over Japan. (JUN/21) photo

I had a slight cold and headache from this morning. But I had a runny nose from before going to bed last night. That's because I lay and was watching TV for 4 hours without a blanket last night, included a horror movie, "Ring (2002)" that I saw before I went to bed. That's original film was from Japan. The sky was covered with slight cloud today, basically today is nice and warm. So I felt like riding a motorcycle, I left from home by that at 1 p.m. I rode it around near my home for 33 km, and I came back home at 2 p.m. to listen to the FM old-days music radio program. By the way, I said there was no news about me yesterday, but there was a bit big news after that. The green turtle escaped from colony in the early evening. At first, I noticed the turtle was not in the water tank at 17:50. I could not believe that at all, because there was not escape way. But it was real fact that it was not there. My mom was working in the garden then, although, I asked to her about it, she did not know where the turtle went to. When I noticed that that was not there first, the light green turtle, Kimidori-hime, dropped from the mountain, and was upside-down in the water. I thought it might be dead first because it did not move, but what a relief, because it was living then yet. I started looking for the urchin with a flashlight soon. Luckily, all doors of my house to outside had been closed and my house was small. However, I could not look for it easily despite that. I took care of not to want to step on the tiny turtle. I looked for the man on the run in all my house at all rooms except of the second floor. But there was not a fugitive from colony. I gave up looking for that once 30 minutes later. When we gave up looking for that, we will be able to find that, too, like a singer Yousui. I found it at last, when I pulled the curtain. I heard that there was a something sound from the curtain, like something dropped down to tatami mat. There is a tiny turtle there. I had looked for the curtain, but there had not been anything there 40 minutes ago. I thought the turtle went up the curtain where it was for two meters from the tank with its claws. I made the mischief-vous turtle take back to the colony soon. By the way, I opened the curtain in the morning after 7 o'clock, and when I grabbed Kimidori-hime to exchange the water of the tank, I found the light green turtle was already dead. (JUN/19) photo

| 24H CAR RACE |

I woke up at 4 o'clock this morning. It was cloudy from morning today. So I did not feel like riding motorcycle today. I was in my room all day long. There is not my news today. But the other side, I am happy because I do not have to write about me like this day. If I have a lot of news especially bad news, I would have got me down from before I tune on PC. So I think I hope I would not have my news in my mind anywhere. So I might not leave for anywhere. My dream that I have, I would like to see a lot of figures on my bankbook. It is my only dream now. Although I like money from as a child, but I have never been saved money in the bank. By the way, a big famous historical 24 hours car race stars today in France. I also started calling this straight road "Hunadieres" after I watched the race on TV from over ten years. I named this straight so, and I used to drive here often. Anyway, there were a lot of trees at the side of the road in old days and this road was undulated over there, so this was a straight road that was in woods, so this seemed Le Mans for me whenever I passed through here. I thought my car, Honda Civic, would fly to the air like Mercedes. I thought the car's suspensions were cat feet like Peugeot. However, many trees at left side of the road were cut down about five years ago, I did not call this place "Hunadiere of Ichinoseki" since then. (JUN/18) photo

| ABOUT TURTLES |

I woke up at 7 o'clock this morning. It was a little late for me. I was woken up at 3 o'clock suddenly by heavy raining sounds from the roof once, but I went to sleep again soon easily. It was cloudy today. It was likely to rain soon anytime. As you thought, I was in my room all day long today too. Not change the subject, but I heard a sister of friend of mine had a turtle that she found at the backyard in Florida, too. I have turtles like her, but it was better pet than an alligator. By the way, please look at today's picture. These are their colony. I added two flat stones there for those. Wouldn't you like to know about these turtles information more? OK, I got it! At first, let me explain about each character of these turtles that are one of our families from now on. As I said at three days ago, the light green turtle likes climbing the mountain. The other side of that, the green one likes swimming in the pool. I thought it seemed to be "Yamahiko and Umihiko." Yama-hiko means a boy who was living in the mountain. Umi-hiko means a boy who was living in the seaside. Yama is a mountain, Umi is a sea, and Hiko means a prince in old era of Japan in Japanese. That's why the climber looked like "Yama-hiko" and the swimmer looked like "Umi-hiko" as well. There is a famous story of the birth-myth of a nation of Japan. It is the story of the ancestor of the Emperor of Japan. Did you know what the Japan Emperor family was the longest historic family in all of the world emperor families? The present Emperor Akihito is 125th. He was born in 1933. Yama-hiko andUmi-hiko were brothers. The present Emperor family was descended from Yama-hiko. I do not have room enough to explain about the story more now, so I return to the story of two turtles that I take care now. The Climber likes to be on the mountain, and it was always sleeping there. The other side, the Swimmer likes to be in the water, so it was always swimming there anytime without sleeping in the daytime. However, I am also concerned about the appetite of LG (light green) except for white moss on its feet. It has no appetite. It does not almost eat feed unless I give. But G(green) has a too good appetite. It eats all that I give. It has no illnesses unlike LG and me. When they came to my house, their body size was almost the same, but now, we find with no doubt G is bigger to LG. So LG is depressed anytime. But G is in good spirits anytime. However, about their characters, LG keeps calm anytime, on top of that, G is cowardice. About when they came here, my mom said like this, "This turtle (LG) looks like a princess because she is gentle anytime." The other side, G looks like a mischievous boy for me. That's why LG looks like older sister princess and G looks like a younger brother of urchin. Therefore I decided that I called LG "Kimidori-hime" in Japanese and G was "Midori-hiko" as well from now on. Anyway, theirs life of 100 years have just started. I do not very mind about them. It woke up at half past four by my mom's voice. She said to a newspaper deliveryman on the motorbike, "Good morning!" from the side of the mountain. She was already mowing grasses there. But the place was so high that I worried about her on the block whenever she was on there. She was working there until at half past seven. I was studying hard English in my room by textbooks of radio then. You know, my mom bought two turtles at DIY store last month, but I took care of them again after all. One of my works in the morning is what I exchange water of the tank every morning. The water was filled up the plastic bottle last day, and it was put outside without the screw lid for a day every day. Originally, the water is tap water, so I want to take away chlorine from the water, and I want the bottle water to be the same temperature with the water of the tank for turtles then. By the way, my mom has an appointment with her nieces this noon, so I sent her to a central city by car at 11 o'clock. As soon as I left home, I stopped my car and put a plastic bag that was filled with a lot of empty glass bottles into the shed to recycle on my way there. As soon as I came back into the car, a truck came there to collect them beside my car. You know, they got together at a restaurant to have a meeting to give money for one of four once a month by four relations. So my mom also can get money once four months. However, she had a toothache because her artificial tooth did not fit, so I drove her to a dentist before that. Then I went to the biggest bookstore in the city and bought radio English textbooks. I came back home just noon. It was cloudy this morning, but it cleared up about after half past one. By the way, as you can see, as the water gets muddy, this is before exchanging the water. The light green one is on the mountain where it was favorite place. There is a piece of packaging tape on a screen door. It was cloudy today. It looks like that got into half of rainy season. Rainy season is approaching to here in northern Japan. By the way, when I fed for turtles, I looked at the feet of the light green turtle, white moss came off a little from front feet. And I noticed there had been a strange color on the upper neck from before, when I saw a picture for that an hour ago. What a relief a little. Some bit bubbles on my fingers were a few days ago, but those started getting well from last afternoon. I wonder if saltwater was better for me, too. I was in my house all day. I was looking for PC games from some old PC magazines for 657 PC this afternoon because there was not software in the PC particularly after just recovery. Originally the 657 had an original easy mail software "Raku (easy) Mail." I tried to use it after an interval of five years, a camel went and get e-mails for me. But I used a slow telephone line for the Internet about that time, so I could see a camel that went to work for a while on the display, but it was very fast ADSL line that I use now, long time no see, though. It appeared on the display and it disappeared soon after the work for just a few seconds. I was disappointed about that. Anyway, I found my dear software from in those. It was "Post Pets by Sony." I remembered using the software often about in 2000-2001. I remembered of that my sweet old room. There was a hamster in the room. The name was Mayuko. Of course, I gave it to the hamster. The work of the hamster was what it sent e-mail or went and got it for me. When I saw about the article of the software on the PC magazine, I found there were another post pets. For example, rabbit, and turtle etc. Mayuko seemed to be near Hanakami about that time sure enough as I thought. I heard she has been to Kyoko last week. (JUN/15) photo

It was a fine and warm today. It was very comfortable weather. There is a rainy season from about the beginning of June to the end of July for about two moths in Japan, so we have just gotten into the rainy season these days. Anyway, it was a fine weather, so I took out the water tank to outside for turtles. And I put an old net of a screen door on the tank, and it was under the sun in the daytime. It was covered with the screen net to protect for them outside without man. It's because it was one of the reasons that feet of a light green turtles changed to white. I noticed they were covered with something white from a couple days. It looks like mold or moss and so on. And on yesterday, I found a part of the upper neck's color changed of dark color, and there was a boil on the left eyelid. I remembered of a better way when if fishes in the water tank got ill. Add a bit salt into the water. It seemed to cheer up a little than before. They also sunbathed and swimming in saltwater pool. By the way, I found why there was an ant on an uninhabited island of the water tank after coming back to the living room. Where did it enter from? The island is surrounded by water. It was looking for the way to exit desperately. But there is no way for that except for swimming on the water. I think there was an ant inside of the net when the tank was outside. Then when I took off the net, I thought the ant dropped down to the small island like Robinson Crusoe. My most favorite book is "Robinson Crusoe" from as a child. My father gave me the complete of many stories for children including the book when I was 8 years old. Especially I like that story, I have long been loving that book since then. Gulliver had been to Japan about in 1700.When he was also sleeping, he was bound by a number of short people. I happened to see that this sleeping turtle put feed on the nose. Today was cloudy. But I started hearing sound of the thunder from half past two o'clock. It is approaching here little by little. My mom might cut off the electricity with a circuit breaker shortly. So I have to send it to the server in California before that. Frogs will be very happy shortly. It is getting dark around here already. There was a mosquito, I opened the window because it was warm. I closed the window and turned on a mosquito coil. Anyway, I was in home today all day. By the way, 657 of my first PC recovered by recovery CD last night. It was the third times for that. It needed to spend 2 hours to finish it. And today, I connected a printer, scanner etc, and I installed their drivers. And I copied backup data to 657 by LAN from my main PC. 657 HDD has stopped since April28, 2004. It was confusing in it because a number of software installed it and has been using it for a year and half. I would like to clean install before. But I did not have another HDD for backup data. I woke up at 7 this morning. Basically today is sunny and warm day, but there are a lot clouds in the sky. That weather and I felt like riding a motorcycle, I went out by that after noon. I called at a gas station near here soon. "Fill up the tank please." They gave us a good service. My motorcycle ran 36km/l per a liter. Although I did not have reason, I went to Mt. Tabashine (596m). Running in the shade was comfortable in cool. I ran rice field road when I came back home after that. There was a black cat across the road in front of me. I stopped the motorcycle at side of the road soon and I took some picture of the cat for you. Although I have known about the saying of black cat, I could come back home with no trouble. Today was cloudy muggy. Black Cat deliveryman came to my house to bring Seagate 160GB HDD at half past twelve again. It came to hands of my mom. I put it into the main PC from 2 p.m. But there was not a new HDD on my computer. But I expected it half in my mind, so I took an old HDD out of PC soon, I mean, only the new HDD was in the PC, I tried to install XP to new HDD. The new one was formatted by that and partitioned it to three, and I could get to use it at last. I bought it at $77 and postage $6. I know Seagate is American company now, but when I bought HDD (80GB) at PC store, Kitakami, for the first time two years ago, I did not know about Seagate at all. Although I dropped it down on the desk when I had just bought it, it has never had no trouble, so I chose Seagate again. By the way, my nephew said by e-mail, he borrowed CD from his friends and listened to American pop music recently. I did not believe it first. I doubted my eyes. On top of that, I woke up before 7 o'clock this morning and when I went to downstairs soon, also my mom listened to the Jazz vocal song CD in English by woman as she was cooking. However, I listen to song of old Japanese animated cartoon of TV these days. I would like Sakazaki to play a CD of old animation again. He and Tuyoshi like fishes. Sakazaki likes an electric catfish. Tuyoshi likes especially a lungfish. I like a coelacanth, but we rarely cannot see it, so I said I like a toasted squid usually, but we have to take care of vinegar octopuses when we eat them because we get it stuck in throat. The old master of secondhand store likes a jellyfish and his only man customer likes him like that. Let's go to an aquarium together in the near future. By the way, today's picture's cat was running away in the garden as its ears turned here. Can you see there were two black balls under the tail? There were slight clouds in the sky today. I tried to take a trash bag out to the shed by scooter, but I gave over 20 kicks for that, it did not wake up. So I took it out by car at 6 o'clock. I thought I had to check my scooter, but it waked up by an only kick after meal. How come? I thought I had to exchange the spark plug at least, though. I went to a gas station near my house to fill up the tank of scooter noon. It went to there for gas since last November. Unleaded gas was filled 4.3 liters into the tank. It ran for 78km for a half year. I used 1 liter to mowing grasses from the tank, so the mileage was 24 km/l. 109 yen per a litter. $4.3 per a gallon. I went to a drug store, too. I bought a bottle of olive oil as a medicine for skin. And I went to a bank across the street, too. I came back home at half past twelve, but there was a paper in the mailbox, according to that, a deliveryman of Black Cat came to my house with HDD that I ordered 10minutes before of that. I sent e-mail to him to ask delivery tomorrow again. I would receive it tomorrow. By the way, are you going to visit to Germany next year around June? I have studied German a little instead of English as a junior high student. As you know, I have never been to any countries, even Guam Island, both Koreas, Taiwan, China, and Russia But It might be the Germany that I would go to the abroad for the first time. There were not a few clouds, but basically it was fine and warm day today. I was in a T-shirt. However, I have been in my house all day. I was doing laundry as I took a breakfast and washed dishes this morning. Today is "The day of Rock music" in Japan because 6.9 can be called "Rock" in Japanese. I like Deep Purple even now. "Highway star" and "Smog on the water." By the way, Japan soccer team got to go to Germany next year 2006 for the first time in the world. They got a ticket to Germany in Thailand without supporters each other last night at last. Japan won to North Korea by 2 to 0. I wondered how North Korean team's manager and members would be after this final elimination round by their leader of the country. They were eliminated from the competition completely. Anyway, my mom and I were watching the game on TV in the living room together. She also knows Mr. Gico who was famous Brazilian soccer player as the team manager. She shouted before the TV whenever they got a goal. I took turtles out of the living room to get sunshine. I put old mesh screen that I exchanged a few days ago on the water tank for that. I woke up at 7 o'clock. But I could go into asleep at 2 o'clock last night at last because there was a mosquito in my room after putting out the light at 11 o'clock. My hand was stung by that and itched it for a while. So I put a cap and a mesh that I bought last year at DIY store for mosquito on my face. However, I heard mosquito buzzing sounds just near my face, so my face was protected by that, but I could not sleep easily by that. I was irritated of that for a long time. At last I took an electric mosquito repellent out of the shelf, and put on the light for the first time this year. The smoke was so bad for my throat that I put out the fire in 15 minutes. There were unpleasant buzzing sounds around me until then like that, but I could sleep easily after that. It was cloudy today. By the way, I have a news about me. I ordered a 160GBHDD by mail order at a PC store web page at last evening at last. The store on the Internet was one of two stores that I visited to Kitakami, the web page was by the head office of the PC store chain. But there was nothing that I wanted in the store that was one of the PC chain stores at that time, though. I did not think I would buy HDD at the chain. Anyway, I was going to the north like yesterday's picture, but if I would have visited to thereabout five years ago like that, I could have seen Mayuko there. (JUN/8) photo

It was cloudy all day. I woke up at 5 o'clock this morning, and I kept studying English by textbook after that until before breakfast this morning, too. By the way, I repaired a screen door in the noon for the first time. A screen door has two screen meshes each. I repaired a screen mesh for one of two screens of a screen door. It was the under screen that faces to the garden. Anyway, the work was easily as I thought. The total cost for mesh was $1.5 per one screen. One of broken screens had a little a couple of broken places, so I did not repair whole screen mesh, I pasted a patch mesh that I cut from mesh screen on each the places. When I did the job, my sister came to my house by car noon. She is going back to her home now at 4 p.m. By the way, you know the wooden bridge across the Hirose is at beyond this bridge. I woke up at 5:30 this morning. Basically it was sunny day, but there were clouds in the sky now and then. Anyway, it was so nice weather that I thought I tried to ride motorcycle today too. I left for DIY store to buy a mesh of a screen door noon. Actually one of screen doors has broken from a couple of years ago. My mom pasted packaging tape to there this year. I bought them to repair it, a mesh sheet, roller, and elastic band. They were $6 for all. It is for the first time to repair a screen door for me, but my motto is "Do it yourself!" I made up my mind to try it. By the way, it was a kick enough to wake up my motorcycle yesterday, but I had to kick over 20 times today. I thought I might have to take a spark plug out, but I could hear it woke up again at last. And as you know, I am a challenger. So I tried to pass through the place where my bike broke since April 16 by the troubled bike again. Anyway, I could come back home with no trouble today. By the way, my mom puts a gold chain on her glasses these days. She looks like "madam." That's because she forgot the place where she placed her glasses sometimes recently. It was the gold chain that was given by her eye woman doctor last year because she forgot it sometimes. I wonder if Eskimo eat ice cream. (JUN/6) photo

It was cloudy today, but the sun appeared from clouds at times. I was boring this morning, so I made up my mind to go to a supermarket to buy powder cream for coffee by motorcycle. I left for there at 11 o'clock. I bought it there, but I bought two instant fried curry noodles "UFO" that I happened to see, too. It is the best of cup fried noodle, I looked for that, though. I have never seen that at stores these days for three years. I like coffee, but I hate Green-juice that is made from kale, a kind of cabbage like my sister. My mom drinks black vinegar every days for her health. She takes a bottle of that with her every time when she goes out. My sister hate that juice, but she drinks black vinegar of blueberry-taste, so my mom began to drink it like her these days. I heard it was better for my mom eyes. And I picked an old and cheap curry bread up, I put it into the basket, too. I ate it for lunch after coming back home. As you know, I like riding motorcycle at off-road, so, I chose narrow off-road on my way home, I passed by in front of the Yamanome railroad station, and I rode my old motorcycle on the rice field road. I went to Kozenji, too, my motorcycle ran on the field road in the mountain, too. I tried to ride it at unknown very narrow muddy road, and I happened to pass through in front of UFO house that you might have seen before, too. And I passed by a shed for two heads of cattle in deep mountain, and before cattle owner's house, too, and finally I came out in front of the shrine that you might have also seen before at last. I rode it for 32km, almost off-road, I came back home at half past twelve. It was my good workout. My mom went to the field at half past eleven, so I have to pick her up early evening. I was asked for rice washing from her, I have to call at a kind of vender machine to wash rice on the way to there. (JUN/5) photo

I woke up at 7 o'clock. I went to sleep at 11 o'clock last night, but if I could wake up after midnight, I intended to watch soccer match to go to Germany for them "Japan VS Bahrain" at Bahrain on TV. As soon as I got up, I turned TV on to watch news at once. Japan won to Bahrain again by score of 1 to 0. The point getter was in the same prefecture. It was cloudy all day today. But it started heavy raining suddenly after 4 o'clock. I am hearing thunder now. By the way, I put a new keyboard that I bought at $5three days ago to Hitachi PC, and put a mouse that I bought at $7 at DIY store, too. I will use them in the summer at the basement. There were no problem. The PC has a liquid crystal display, but it was my first liquid crystal display. As I said yesterday, I reduced a using time for PC these days to get a longer life, and I hope to get a liquid crystal display to get a longer life for17 inches CRT display that I have been using since June 2000 as well now. One collector picks a guitar that was thrown up from a place of a large-sized discarded article, and he sell their guitars at his second hand shop. And one collect or looks for old soy sauce bottle. It was very fun that I heard that he was talking about old used bottles with his friend. By the way, let me explain about this bridge. In fact, I did not know that the name of this river was the Hirose at this time. I thought it was a branch river of the Kitakami. I was lost after that, but I could get out of there at last, and I went out the north of Esashi city where I knew. Actually I made a mistake the Hirose for the Kitakami. Anyway, I was glad that I happened to see this wooden bridge. I heard there was the Bridges of Madison Country near Winterset, Iowa. Have you seen the famous covered bridge? Do you want to see it? I hat to be the bearer of bad news, but I heard that the main bridge burned down in late summer over five years ago. Why don't you see this Bridge of Tankou near Esahi, Iwate instead of that? It was hot last night, so I woke up by nightmare after 1 o'clock. When I went to sleep in futon, it started raining from about 11 o'clock, it kept raining until this early morning. Basically it was cloudy today. I already made mix gas and I was boring, so I mowed grasses at the parking with a mowing machine after 11 o'clock. It was for the first time this year. I also repaired rubber gloves yesterday. I wear them whenever I wash dishes. I can save on gas and money by them, and my hands can also protect from injury. The other day, a knife happed to stick into the gloves, when I washed dishes after meal. After all, it made a little bit hole on surface of the gloves, but thanks to the gloves, I did not get injury by them. However, when I was washing dishes, I felt a little water soaked into the gloves from the point. But I did not know there was a bit hole on the gloves yet at that time, I looked into the hole and found out the hole at last. It was just 1 mm wide. First, I starched glue there, but it did get effect at all, water was soaking into the gloves easily. Next, I sｔarched rubber glue there. It was good for a while, but my left thumbs got wet a little these days. That's why I tried to repair the left glove with rubber patch for bicycle flat tire. The rubber patch was what I bought at 100-yenshop. But I did not almost ride my mom bicycle recently, so I did not spend it at all, there were many rubber patches for me. And luckily my motorcycle has never got flat tire, too, so a can rubber cement left so much. It was on the carrier in the bag whenever I rode the motorcycle. Therefore I was in the basement after mixing gas, so I pasted a rubber patch on starched rubber cement on it with my tip of right pointer. After that from yesterday, my thumbs have never got wet. We used to repair rubber long shoes with a rubber patch when they got a hole as a child. I remembered them, it reminded me to repair them by that way. So I did repair it for the same way as well. I woke up at 4:30 naturally, because I went into futon at 9 o'clock last night. It was fine and warm weather in the morning too, but got cloudy in the afternoon. I wrote the touring journal of yesterday because I was boring this morning. And in this morning, I made mix gasoline for a mowing machine. At first, I pumped 1 liter gas from tank of my scooter with a hand plastic pump. Then, I poured Yamaha 2 cycle-oil that was for my scooter 40 ml into that gas in the plastic tank. Therefore there was 1 liter mix gas of 25:1 on the table in the basement. I poured the mix gas, about 400 ml, into the tank of the mowing machine at once. And I pulled the cable of the machine to start the engine to the best of my power. Luckily the engine could start at the third times despite since over half year. I drove my mom to the nearby bank after noon. She got out of my car in front of the bank, but she did not walk toward the bank, she was walking forward to a supermarket like turtles. What? I shouted to her from the opening window. "Shouldn't you go to the bank?" But she did not turn her face to me and was walking in the sidewalk forward like turtles. I thought she forget her business at the bank at all. She tends to make a thing left behind. Anyway, I parked my car at a parking lot of the drug store. I bought two boxes of energy drinks that she asked, and a box of beers (350ml /24 cans) at $23. Most big drug stores sell alcohol in Japan these days. Of course, they sell a medicine for a hangover, too. They can get money more, and we are more useful by that. By the way, as you know, I went to Kitakami city yesterday to visit two PC stores after an interval of two years, didn't you? I would have liked to buy HDD, but they did not have the stocks plenty. According to their web site, I saw the store was remodeled in this January. So I wanted to go more there. The building was painted with colorful yellow before. However, unlike of before, a lot of bulk HDD and CD DVD drive were not piled on the table. There was not even the sample in the glass case, there were some cards to order them there instead of that. On top of that, they did not have HDD for customers to sell. I bought only a keyboard at $5 there. I have bought DVD drive in May 2001 there, and 80GB-HDD in May 2003, too. I have been there before I bought my first PC in May 2000, too. I think customers would not come to the store often than before like that. I wish there was a PC store in this city, too. I wish the store moved to here. I like this city, but I am not satisfied no PC shop even one shop. When I got to this store, I thought the store was day off because there was no automobile except mine. By the way, I did not like riding motorcycle in the town, but I felt easy about my motorcycle in Kitakami because the city was so big that there would be motorcycle stores. (JUN/2) photo

It was fine and warm day all day after a long time. I went to Kitakami city, 50 km away to north. Before that, I drove my mother to the nearby temple at 8:30. I left for there at 9 o'clock. I visited two PC stores in Kitakami. Those stores are the nearest PC store for me. I went to there since May 2003, after an interval of two years. I bought 80GB-HDD thereat that time. I visited there to buy HDD, but they did not have enough stock of that, so I did not buy it because 160GB, 200GB that I wanted sold out in the store. I bought a keyboard to use Hitachi PC in the basement this summer, then. It was $5. I walked in the store with a daypack and hip-bag. I went out of the store before noon, and I left for my house noon. It was a little warmly day, so I drank a bottle of water that I brought from my house in the hip-bag Mayuko can eat a box of sponge cake easily, but I did not call at the store to take a lunch, and did not spend money on my way home at all, I came back home at half past one o'clock. I rode it for 120 km today. And this picture is 1987 stereo original members. When I got this used Sony CD player at auction site, this Denon CD player was taken away into a closet in my room because it broke last spring. But the Sony moved to bottom of Kenwood, one of original members of 1987, Denon came back to his position and Victor audio timer, too. (JUN/1) photo
