It started raining from half past seven this morning. Then it has been raining after that all day long. I woke up at half past five this morning easily. Today was chilly day. As you know, of course, I have been in my house all day as I was listening to rainy sounds. My mom also was in the living room all day unusually, and watching TV, talking with a phone with friends in kotatsu (Japanese traditional heater). By the way, I got a used 256 MB-memory yesterday. As you thought, it is what I got at auction site, it reached my house from Osaka by mail at early evening. I got it at $15 there. But its owner did not request the postage to me as his service, so the total cost to get it was $16. My main PC can use SDR or DDR as memory. It had two SDR until last evening, two 128 MB-memory, so it had total 256 MB. Those memories were what I bought at shop or what a used PC that I bought had. I took out them from there in the box, original memory, it was only 128 MB for XP, added that 256 MB there for my PC. According to him, originally it was in NEC PC, he used it for two years and half, but he did not feel enough power to it, so he got a used 512 MB-memory at $60 in the auction site as well, then he took the memory out of the NEC and put it on the auction site to sell. I got his, then. DDR that I got was PC2100, but original was PC2100, too. Total 384 MB. I have never had so much amount of memory per a PC. It needed more plenty of time to start more since the latest security software installed in April. However, after I put them, my PC needed to take between over four and a half minutes and five and a half minutes to start completely until now, but it got within two and a half minutes or three minutes now. By the way, new packaged 256MB are sold about $75 at shop in Japan now. I bought this purple basket at about $5 at DIY store for my laundry. I took my clothes away in front of bathroom before taking a bath every time, and I put them into this basket like Deborah. (MAY/31) photo

I woke up at 6 o'clock. It was cloudy all day long. I have been in my room all day. Therefore there is no news about me. My mom went to a temple to practice Buddhism song today. By the way, I bought this wire netting at 100 yen-shop last day to protect these turtles from cats. I saw that light green one Kiki was climbing the mountain for the first time at next morning of that at once. It fit the water tank well, but I found that cats could put their hands into this netting. That's why I could not put them out with the netting. But I looked for this blue basket or cage from the basement, I put it on the water tank outside. But this wire gauze's mesh was too small to get sunshine for turtles, but it could protect them from crows, too. (MAY/30) photo

I woke up at 6 o'clock this morning. It was cloudy in the morning, but was slight cloudy in the afternoon. My mom said that she had seen two turtles were on the top of the mountain this afternoon. But the green　one was for short time there. I called it "Mii" because it has midori (green)body. The light green one was there from early morning, and it has been staying there even now. It was on the mountain in the morning, the green　one was in the water and was not almost moved at that time. It got a little　warmly at lunchtime, Mii was moved a little, and I saw that it ate feed that　was floated on water for the first time. I gave some to it, it ate them all. I called the light green turtle "Kiki" because light-green is called "kimidori"　in Japanese. It has been staying in the top of the mountain from morning, so I worried about it that might get hungry or dried throat and body. My mom called them "Kako" but I intend to call them "Mickey" in my mind　from now on. One of real princesses is Kako who I know well. She is the first grandchild for emperor of Japan. Her father and ground father like creatures in the water. A cat that was in my house was called "Chaco" by my mom, but it was called "Chanda" by me 30 years ago. I do not know why, but I woke up at 5 o'clock this morning, too. It was fine day today. I wanted to ride a motorcycle far away, but did not ride it at last. I slept in futon from 10:30 to 12 again despite sunny day. It was hot in futon. My mother went to a field to work at14:30. I have to go there to pick her up at 18:00. If I were a student now, I would like to sit next to her in the bus as a school trip. By the way, there is a little bit bubble on mouth of light green turtle. (MAY/28) photo

I woke up at 5 a.m. this morning, too. It was cloudy today, but started raining from before 4 p.m. Two workers got into the garden to string telephone wires without notice. The string was for another house in deep mountain. We lend the place for that. They should greet to us. But it started heavy raining as soon as they started working there. I went down the stairs, and I asked to my mom about it whether she knew or not. "There are two workers in the garden. Do you know them?" "Yes. They said they had come here to string optical communication of the Internet for PC." Although it does not come to my house yet. They are working under the rain. They were not talking each other at all even one word. So they are really weird workers. By the way, two turtles are in my house, but it was cloudy today, so I did not take out them outside. But when I went down the stairs to take a breakfast at 8 a.m. one of two climbed up the mountain. It was light green one. I saw it for the first time there. I think it was big adventure for it. I saw another green one there yesterday. But the light green one had been staying over the morning. The green one looked up at the mountain where its only friend was. I woke up at 5 o'clock this morning. But I had still had a slight headache from last night, but I had a can beer during dinner last night, so I ate a banana at once after going out of futon and took a cold medicine. Then, I got well shortly. I felt sleepy by that, but it was better for me than a having headache. Tofu reached to my house at 10 a.m. My sister came to my house with a bag of fertilizer by car after 11 a.m. She brought it to my house with her, but she came back to her house soon. She saw two turtles in the water tank that were outside for the first time. I put a basket from a lumber room on it to protect from cats. I took them out of the living room to make sunbathe for the first time. They were soaking under the sun for four hours. As soon as I put a basket on it, I could see one of two that went up the mountain of the water tank for the first time. They seemed to be happy there. Anyway, I become a person who take care of turtles completely as I thought. However, as you can see, my mom takes care of plants in the garden. (MAY/26) photo

It was fine day all day long. The weather was so fine that I tried to ride my motorcycle since the accident on April 16. I went to nearby post office by that, and then I went to a clinic to put my mother consultation ticket into the box at 10 a.m. However, they already did not finish accepting that for the morning. I asked to her at reception desk, "If I send a card now, when can she see a doctor?" "About 4:30." "OK" I gave the card to her. As soon as I came back home after 10 a.m. I made a call to support center of post office to ask about savings. Then I went to nearby post office again by bike. And I went to 100 yen shop. There were Jazz CDs in the store. I bought Jazz big band CD. It was by Tommy Dorsey. I wonted to listen to oneof his songs, especially "I'm getting sentimental over you." I did not know the song name, but I knew it after listening to that. I am wondering what Mayuko bought CD recently. She loved Sawada Kenji, but I rather liked Shimua Ken. "Aiiinnnn" I was already tired noon. I drove my mother to a supermarket at 3 p.m. I got into a bookstore next to the store. Her shopping was long. I was waiting for her coming back in the hot car. As soon as she came back to my car, I sent her to a clinic soon. Then I came back home at 4 p.m. I turned on PC at last at 4:30 to update my web page. It was light rain this morning, and cloudy in the afternoon. My mother would go to a temple to practice Buddhism song today, so I drove her an dother members to the meeting place. They and other members got together there at 9 o'clock, and they would get on a wagon taxi from there to go the temple. By the way, according to local news on TV that I watched last night for a dinner, they said an old man rider (76) had died by traffic accident that happened on May 22, 11 a.m. in Murone Village near our city. His motorbike was touched by car when he was riding it on his way home after shopping, when the car was overtaking the bike. And seven hours ago of that, another traffic accident was happened at 4 a.m. in Tagajyo near Sendai next to prefecture. Three freshmen of the high school who were also walking rally of a school event died by traffic accident. When they were walking across a zebra crossing on the Route 45, they were hit by a car. The car was red big RV car, the driver was drank. As I said before, I do not like big RV cars. (MAY/24) photo

When I woke up at 6:30 a.m., it had been still raining from last night. When I went into futon at 11:30 p.m., it started raining. Basically it was cloudy today, but the sky cleared up at lunchtime. I have been in my room all day today, too, but my mom went to the mountain opposite to take edible wild plants to eat this morning, and as soon as she came back home, she began mowing grasses on the side of the mountain in the land. And she went to nearby convenience store to get confectionery that she would take it for practice of Buddhism song tomorrow. (MAY/23) photo

It was fine weather from morning. It was great weather to go out anywhere. But it turned cloudy in the afternoon as a weather report had said this morning. But today was hot for me. I took off my clothes and socks despite wearing padded kimono in the morning, I was wearing only T-shirt this afternoon at last. I listened to the radio for business English course from 11 a.m. I listen to that program until 11 p.m. every night, but it is not very good reception, so I listened to a rebroadcast of that in daytime of Sunday again. By the way, I put two stones that have been in the garden into the water tank for turtles. When I passed through near the tank, I looked at it. One of them was on the stone. I was happy that I could see it. And I did not think the CD player that was one of Kenwood compo stereo was so good condition that I took it away, I put Sony CD player that I got last March at auction site at $23(10/12/1) but was used hardly on there instead of that. It was given work place for regular work at last. Therefore my compo stereo got better total condition than before. So it was no problem for me the CD player of the compo was not in good condition. Originally I did not have a remote for that from when I got it, so I could not use it as I thought, it would become useful a little, though. By the way, today's picture was taken next morning that they came to my house, but my mom gave a lot of feed for them. It was fine and warm day today. But I do not still feel like riding a motorcycle, because the tank was dented and I feel uneasy about the engine to go away. That's why I have been in my room all day long despite fine weather. Anyhow, it was so fine weather on Saturday that I heard a large number of big sounds of motorcycle that I was thought they were almost in American type. I envied them. Although I have loved motorcycle, but I do not ride new or big one yet despite over 40. By the way, this is a record-cleaner. Originally, it was in the old stereo near turntable. I think it belonged to the stereo, General in 1966. This record-cleaner has not been used for the longest time in the box, but I bought new (old) record player, I begin using it again these days after an interval of 25 years. I mean, I did not use a record-cleaner to listen to record since I came back home from Tokyo. The position of Kenwood is better than 1987 to listen to music. (MAY/21) photo

I woke up at 6:30 this morning. It was fine weather today all day after a long time. By the way, a record needle that I ordered at auction site reached to my house by postman at 15:30 yesterday when I sent my web page to the server in California. I tried to put it on the record player soon, it just fit well as I thought. They were almost the same things. So it was no problem to listen to record with that. I was really glad than I got pure needle of maker. I listened to record of the Carpenters last night at once. It was "Now and Then." The cover jacket that the Carpenter's brother and sister in a red car was drawn by Mr. Nagaaoka who was Japanese. I have a EP record "Please Mr. Postman" at 500 yen too as a junior high student. Actually, the record that I bought for the first time was the Carpenters. It was LP including two records by A&M in 1974. I remember that when I was riding my bicycle with the record after leaving shop on the way home. It reminds me of the scene when I took the record every times. I sang in English with the record as I was seeing the words of a song on the paper in English after the longest time. It made me feel great! When I got this record about 20 years old, I understand the meaning of the lyrics hardly, but I could get to understand that meaning a little when I saw it. By the way, I asked to my mom when my mom was seeing in the water tank last night, "What are their names?" These turtles are called "Kako" by my mom. I think turtle is "kame" in Japanese. But I said to her, "But there are two turtles, aren't they?" She was in trouble to answer that.I thought their name Kako was for two naturally, because even If she decided each name for both turtles, but they were almost the same turtles, she could not distinguish both, so each name would be waste. Therefore, one is not Ka and another one is not Ko, I mean, I would like to think Kako is the group name of them. This picture was taken by me on next morning of the day that they were taken. I woke up at half past six this morning, too. It was cloudy this morning, but sunny sky returned here this afternoon. I was asked from her that she wanted to give a present for neighbors early, so she wanted me to go to a drugstore to buy a box of energy drinks. I left for there with a plastic bag that was filled with plastic trashes by car after 11 a.m. I took it in the hut on the way there to recycle. I bought two boxes of that drink. My car was left there, I walked to a bookstore across the road, and bought a motorcycle magazine and a textbook. I came back home before noon. By the way, turtles news. They did not almost move until yesterday, but my mom said that they seemed to get used to stay there to us and the environment, they were more moving this morning than before, and she saw one of them had climbed the hill of plastic from water in the water tank this morning. Basically I did not like Jazz vocal CD so much before than instrumental originally, I have never laughed when I listen to Jazz vocal CD. But I am laughing naturally when I was hearing Jazz vocal CD from kitchen from the day before yesterday, because that my mom listen to Jazz song in English. Of course, she did not understand English at all, she has never listened to song of abroad in English, she has never bought kind of those music in all of her life until the day before yesterday. Basically she loves music and loves sing a song as well, but it was Japanese traditional vocal song that she loved. However, she went into the world of young music of Okinawa from three years ago suddenly. I was surprised by her these days again and again. I woke up at half past six. It was cloudy from morning, but it is raining from half past two. I have been in my room all day. So I do not have today's news about me. But my mother visited the nearby temple this morning, and came back home at 1 p.m. Then, she has been watching sumo on TV after that. By the way, I did not know until 7 p.m. she had bought two baby turtles at DIY store yesterday. "Why not turtles are here, mom?" They were at entrance in the water tank. They were each about 2 inches long and green. They almost did not move there. My mom bought them at$18 including the tank. They are living there now. Turtles are in my house for the first time. I wonder if she does when the winder has come because turtles hibernate. And she had already bought Jazz woman vocal CD for the first time at last yesterday then. She liked listening to music of Okinawa last year, and was singing those songs in my house often. But is it JAZZ this year? I cannot believe it as her son. The CD that my mom bought is sung by Japanese woman singer, but she visited America to want to be Jazz singer, and became Jazz singer, and was singing Jazz song as she played piano herself in America. My mom gave me a flexible record as a child. You can see one of them beside the record player on today's picture. It is "Ghost Q Taro(1966)." DJ Maki can sing this song, another version, though. And there is a black record jacket there, too, it is the first album of Spyrogyra. I bought it at Ishimaru-denki in Akihabara as import record in 1979. When the spring has come here, I feel like listening to this record every year. If Mayuko were me, I wonder which record she would set there. I wonder what record she was given from her parents as a child in Kamakura. Anyway, she should put one of them of Sano Motoharu, Japanese singer, there that she has had a lot. (MAY/18) photo

I woke up at 5:30. It was fine day today. My mother had a toothache, I sent her a dentist by car at 9. She was going to go to meeting with nieces etc once a month at restaurant near there noon after that. Then she would go to the eye doctor and would walk to a supermarket and DIY store. She wanted to buy a bag of fertilizer for her field at DIY store. By the way, as I said yesterday, I had to get a new needle to listen to my keeping records, but it is sold now, but it is $30. I who paid $16 for heavy compo stereo could not pay $30 for a little bit record needle. So I was looking for cheap needle yesterday. I found no used cheap needle that seemed to fit mine at auction site at last. It was for Sharp, but mine was Kenwood. So I was going to try to remodel a cheap one to put there. It was $4. It was $22 when it was sold. I looked up their information at other web site of record needle shop, and saw their pictures. And I found Sharp's was really similar to Kenwood's. Of course, I got it there last night without doubt. I think Sharp that I got last night could be substitute to Kenwood without remodeling. I was a lucky old boy. Thanks to the Internet. The total cost until I get it is only $6. If I am an overly honest person, I would have to pay $30 and postage $1 for it for the compo stereo $15 that was postage $26. Anyway, I took a phone from my mom at half past four and went to DIY store to pick her up and came back home just now. By the way, there is a CD on the tuner, but this is Diana Ross & The Suprems. I did not know about their music at all then, but Miho said she liked their music, so I bought this CD in Sendai to make cassette for her. CD player was Denon, but except that all of them was made by these stereo set. But I almost had never listened to that, so I use it to write note on the paper as a desk pad in futon until now. I only know the first song, and green English dictionary that I bought as a junior high pupil.　(MAY/17) photo

I woke up at 4:30 naturally. A headache already cleared up in my head last night. It was sunny, cloudy, and sunny today. It changed like cat eyes. I drove my mother in front of an elementary school where I was graduated at 9:30. When my car stopped there at a moment, I saw maybe a second-grade pupils of two classes were in the schoolyard. They were playing in class of physical training with a woman teacher. When I drove on my way home after that, I saw other pupils of a class with a woman teacher in front of gas tank. I think they were in social studies outside. I would take a camera to the car with me before leaving, but I was afraid that I did not take it. When I do not take a camera outside, there are pupils there. By the way, the used compo stereo that I got yesterday set last night at next room. Back of the stereo was put a lot of cables, so there looked like spaghetti. Of course, thanks to a manual, they worked rightly. But when I set a record, distortion sound was in the room with a record player. I looked at the needle, it was broken into two, so it was dangling in the air. I got system compo stereo that has a record player to listen to a record, but I cannot listen to only the record music. According to web site of record player's needle, luckily the needle that I want is sold now from the maker because it was used with their record player that they make now, but it is $30! I bought all of the stereo set at$15. It was so expensive for me that I cannot buy that. If I were billionaire, I would buy new one. There is no way for me now except I look for cheap one. When I woke up at 6 this morning, I still had a headache. But I took a medicine, then it got well soon. It was strange weather today. It was cloudy, rainy, and sunny. I cleaned my room this morning. I moved records from bookshelf to beside stereo, but it was returned again. Stereo compo that I had got at auction site arrived at 11:30. I paid him $25 as postage. I cleaned them with a vacuum cleaner and a damp cloth this afternoon. When I was cleaning them, I got having a headache again. I was glad there was a manual. It was OK for me if there was not a manual, but I thought it was difficult if there was not that because they are system compo. I woke up at half past six. But a headache returned to my head again. It was hangover. A headache had gone away this morning, so I drank sake during dinner again. Then I had a headache last night. It was cloudy and cold from morning and kept the weather all day. My mind was cloudy too. My motorcycle was not in my house despite nice weather in Golden Week, but it is bad weather despite having that here. My mother said for breakfast that she was going to the field this afternoon, so I asked her, "When are you going to go about there this afternoon?" "About 2 p.m." I wanted to go to a drugstore to buy cold medicine for my headache in the morning, but I waited until that time that she was going to go to. I drove her there with a bag of fertilizer at 2 p.m. And I went to a drugstore and bought a medicine, eye lotion for PC work, and potato chip. I walked to a bookstore to buy a textbook for radio program, then. I walked and came back to my car, I left for my house from the drugstore by car, but I called at the field on my way home again because she asked for me to carry spinach from the field. I took a bag of spinach with me and came back home at 3 p.m. I did not still take a lunch, so I ate an old sponge cake from fridge to take a medicine. Then I turned PC on to type for my web page for you. By the way, I say again and again, but if you are like Maki who hate frogs, you must not click this zoom-in picture as well as yesterday. However, this frog looks like still living, but it keeps a protected color despite dead, so it is not eaten from anything even now, the figure is keeping here. (MAY/14) photo

I could sleep until 7 o'clock this morning uncommonly. I think, because there was the sound of the rain from the roof and darker than usual. Thanks to that, my headache had already gone away when I woke up. It was raining all day today. When I went out of the house to give feed for wild birds this morning despite raining, I saw "a dried frog" on the way. But as you see, it did not be dried. It included rainwater. It returned to frog. It had elastic body again. When it was a dried, I did not know what kind of the frog is, but it got rain, I knew it was a tree frog. Its color is light green ordinary, but a body-color changes to other color sometimes. The color changes to background color automatically to protect body and get feed like chameleon. It is called "a protective color. "Although this frog died completely, it appeared to be quite living because the body-color changed the same color with the stone. I was surprised of that dried and dead frog again. If it happens to be this color that is the same color of the stone, or if when it died, it had the same color on the stone to be protectively colored. Anyway, this frog must be my teacher despite dead. It taught me something. There is a saying in Japan, "Tigers leave only their skins when they die." This frog is too. And I quite forgot it, but it continues like this, "but through his achievements a man's name lives on" except mummies in Egypt etc. If you are like Maki, you had better not look at this zoom-in picture today, too. I woke up at 6 o'clock. I thought I could sleep until that time because it was cloudy morning. It was cold today from morning. And it started raining from 11:30. It did not get well yesterday, I keep having a slight headache today. I do not have my news except having a headache. Today is rainy day, but this dried frog does not return swollen at all. When I found that, it already became a fossil. There was nothing on the stone a couple days ago then. I don't know why the frog became a fossil like this. I wonder if the frog took a nap under the sun here. This stone that this frog is on is a stone for pickles at water place in the garden. I wonder if DJ Maki stepped on it again. She is really scary of frogs, but she does not know why, but she has happened to step on it sometimes until now. If you are like Maki, she and you had better not look at zoom-in picture like alien. Maki is really crazy about hard rock, but I do not know if she also loves Ozzy Osbournewho was in Black Sabbath. I don't know why, but I had a slight headache when I woke up at 5 o'clock this morning. Last night, I went to sleep after 23:30 so I did not have enough sleeping time. It may be one of reasons of that. By the way, my sister came to my house with a flower vase as a presentof Mother's Day noon. My mother was given it for her, and we were given sushi pack and cake that she bought at supermarket by her, too. I gave her Snoopy watch that I had bought at 100yen shop a few months ago. She seemed to be interested in the watch despite a 100yen watch, she asked me how to use it to put the watch right. She is crazy about Snoopy from when she was young. So the licensed yellow watch attracted her pretty heart despite 100 yen. She went back to her home at 3 p.m. because she had aired futon outside under the sun, but it turned cloudy. But basically it was fine day but chilly today. By the way, my motorcycle came back home last early evening, but I was afraid the fuel tank was dented during staying in the clinic for over three weeks. I have never had the accident of my motorcycle or my car like that at a shop in my life. But I paid him $160 because I was not sure about it then. I don't know if he knew about it or he did not know. I woke up 6 o'clock this morning, too. It was fine weather all day long, but it was a little bit chilly. But as you know, I did not go out today too, so I do not have my news today too. That's why I want to say about one web site news that I had seen last afternoon. I think Mr. Putin and Mr. Bush are similar to me and my mother by that article with the picture. I saw one picture there yesterday. It was Mr. Putin, the President of the Russia, at the passenger seat taught Mr. Bush how to drive his car "Volga" that he got recently in Moscow. click. The name of Volga is from the largest river where it is in Russia in Europe. As you know, I also taught my mom how to use old word processor (1990) the day before yesterday like him. Mr. Bush is a person from the country of Texas, and his character seems to be cheerful and friendly like my mom. On the other hand, generally we tend to see Mr. Putin seems to have a cool character because he grew up in cold country, but I think his character like that is similar to my cool character. I have an old motorcycle (1983)like him, too, but it has some mechanical troubles, so it does not come back home easily. I think Japan Prime Minister Mr. Koizumi’s character is simple like Mr. Bush. Anyway, we knew Mr. Putin was fond of cars, too, especially classic car as well as judo. 1956 that the car was made is the same year that my sister was born. We say that, "They are classmate." I heard he was from KGB, and he is good at German, but as the Puffy that is known well recently in the US among the kids also said on the wave before, there was pages of named "KGB" in my first web page. By the way, this is my electric dictionary, CASIO XD-300. I got it at auction site in November, 2003. But it was new one at $50 and needed postage cost etc $10, too. This is a dictionary for abroad travel, but I have never been to abroad country yet. I wonder when I go to abroad with it. In fact, when I got this machine, I had just got ill around the abdomen. As I thought, a doctor found there was a stone like a lead in pipe from the kidney as I said. The stone was broken by a shock wave with ESWL that was developed from U-boat in Germany in other big hospital. I am sure to think the machine was made in Germany. It was cloudy this morning, but began clearing up after 10 o'clock. It was fine weather after that, but the sky began clouding again before I knew, then the rain came pattering on the roofs suddenly at 14:30. It was sad sound for my mother because she was out then to mow grass on the slope of the mountain in front of my room. But it stopped in just 1 minute, she could keep working there under the rain clouds. It appeared not to be scared for her there, but it made me scare when I was seeing her working. I feel the same feeling whenever I am seeing her there. By the way, I got a box of postal package by mailman at lunchtime. It was what I had got at auction site, there were many used cassette tapes that were packed in the box. They are things to take a licensing examination of English for us. I hope I take the second class of the exam someday. I heard it seemed to be for graduation high school student level. First I have to take an exam of the third grade for junior high pupils with many pupils. But I have to pay $40 to take the exam. If I take an exam of TOEIC, I have to go to Sendai where it is far 100km, so I need the carfare ($40) to go there, and an examination fee, about $60. However, if I got the license, I could not use it anywhere, so it would not be useful thing. If I have $40, I want to pay for other thing. Anyway, I do not have extra money even 10 yen for the exam that I should not pass through, but it will be wasteful money that I take the easy grade. So I have to check my level carefully. By the way, I installed security software last week, but it got to need a lot of more time than before. After my desktop is coming up, I needed one minute to finish starting before, but now I need over five minutes. Maybe old version of the security software that I had used until the other day was good fitting for my PC, but now I think it is very hard working for my PC that was low spec now. My PC does not have enough power to the latest software. My PC needs more RAM at least. So I have to wait over 5 minutes after my desktop was coming upon display to use it after that, so I push a button five minutes earlier than before for starting PC as the steps now. By the way, look at today's picture. You found there are electric equipments on the table, didn't you? But there is an electric sphygmomanometer there behind the word processor, too. It is what my dad bought 20 years ago. My mom found it a few months ago and used it these days. A piece of paper is stuck on the cover of her electric dictionary, but it is the paper that I stuck to use English dictionary after printed by word processor. (MAY/9) I don't know why, but I had a slight headache when I woke up at 5 o'clock this morning. Last night, I went to sleep after 23:30 so I did not have enough sleeping time. It may be one of reasons of that. By the way, my sister came to my house with a flower vase as a presentof Mother's Day noon. My mother was given it for her, and we were given sushi pack and cake that she bought at supermarket by her, too. I gave her Snoopy watch that I had bought at 100yen shop a few months ago. She seemed to be interested in the watch despite a 100yen watch, she asked me how to use it to put the watch right. She is crazy about Snoopy from when she was young. So the licensed yellow watch attracted her pretty heart despite 100 yen. She went back to her home at 3 p.m. because she had aired futon outside under the sun, but it turned cloudy. But basically it was fine day but chilly today. By the way, my motorcycle came back home last early evening, but I was afraid the fuel tank was dented during staying in the clinic for over three weeks. I have never had the accident of my motorcycle or my car like that at a shop in my life. But I paid him $160 because I was not sure about it then. I don't know if he knew about it or he did not know. I woke up at 6 o'clock this morning, but it was fine weather from morning. So I aired my futon after a long time. But the fine weather turned cloudy this afternoon, I have to bring them into my house at 2 o'clock. I listened to Turbo's voice with Taturo who is her one of old friends from the radio, then. I taught my mother how to use an electrical dictionary yesterday, but today, this morning I taught her how to use the word processor that you might have seen on this web site a few days ago. Of course, it was for the first time that she touched it. But it was easy than she thought, because the keyboard and display are bigger than the dictionary. She kept diary of today with that soon, and printed. She already seems to be interested in a word processor. Before touching that, she said it was hard work to learn how to use it for her, but she knew it was easy work soon for her. When I was teaching her like that, a phone rang. It was from motorcycle shop. The shop's young son said that the broken motorcycle could start the engine, but he has to have more time until in this week because he has to adjust that parts of the machine to get best condition. If I had a money, I might have bought Honda XR100 instead of fixing. By the way, I ride my scooter because it was broken, when I was riding it at the bridge near my house, I noticed I could not turn right with scooter at the bridge by Japanese law. At a crossing that has a three-lane road, motorbike and scooter under 0.05 liters must not turn right directly. About when I got this scooter in 1995 in Tokyo, I did not know this law, I got to have to pay $50 by getting ticket from police officer after an interval of 10 years. We are having rain after a long time today. Vegetables in fields and flowers seem to be happy. Last night I watched movie on TV, "Shorinji" "Shall we dance?" Shourinji in Japanese, it is temple name, I think Chinese people do not know sound of Shirinji, but they are sure find it when they see it by Chinese character, or they are sure notice it if they hear it means the temple that the small woods do not have many trees in China. Shorinji is real temple in China from 1,500 years. Bodhidharma who is the founder came from Brahman, south India. He was spiritually awakened by keeping seeing the wall for nine years. He is the person who began and expanded Zen meditation. His red tumbler that is called Daruma doll is made and sold in Japan even now. You can see it in Japanese election on TV etc. In Shorinji movie, they are monk practicing asceticism in the temple, but they are great players of kung fu. Have you ever seen a kind of movie by Jackie Chain or Bruce Lee? I do not like China these days, there is nothing I am attracted from China recently because China is getting to be boring and savage country, but I was very interested in old China than the People’s Republic of China that is throwing their culture　these days. By the way, I taught my mom how to use a electric dictionary that I bought at DIY store the other day for an hour this afternoon. It seemed to stop raining before I knew, the sky from my room is beginning to clear up suddenly. I want to a record player now, but I feel like more listening to new CD of Shimizu Michiko now. Her Majesty the Empress's name is Michiko, too. She and her husband left for Ireland and Norway today. It is an abroad trip after an interval of three years for two. Basically I thought today was slightly cloudy and windy. I went to an electrical store to see a record player and DIY store by my scooter at lunchtime. There was an only record player in the store. It was made by DENON, $95. A record player seems to be made by some Japanese makers yet. Of course, I could not buy it, but I could buy Victor CD-R(10 pack) at $3 at DIY store. Apple i-pod was sold despite the store in countryside like this. Apple PC is not sold at the store, though. When I came back home, it was too windy for me that rode a scooter. As you know, I got second hand records this week, but they were so good condition that I could not get to play the record to listen to. If I had enough money, I could buy a used wooden cabinet record player at about $200 anytime at auction without any doubts. These flowers are blooming in front of my room even now. (MAY/6) photo

The sky cleared up this morning, but basically it was cloudy before raining for the first time today since Golden Week started. Basically Golden Week of Japan starts on April 29 and ends on May 5. Therefore today is final day of that for most public school students. Today is Children's Day that is one of national holidays. But today is almost boy's day. Japanese boys are celebrated by each family today on May 5. Girls are celebrated on March 3 as well. Even if they were Japanese boys, Elton John and his partner would not have been celebrated by their parents on April 4. If you are in Japan, you can find a house that boy has lived easily. That's because there are carp streamers in that house. I did not have that as a child, but a part of houses that boy lived had that then. Generally it is sent to grandson from grandparents. In the garden, a tall pole is set up at a house that has boy. At the top of the pole carp streamers are put up. They are fluttering in the sky in this season anywhere in Japan. Usually there is the biggest carp streamer that was colored black or navy as father at top of the pole. Next is the second large one that was colored red as mother. And there are small ones as their children that were colored green or blue etc. As it was Children's Day, I have been to held carp streamers festival at Mt. Turiyama Park (today's picture) as a child (maybe a fifth grader). Anyway, I woke up at 5:30 this morning too. I tried to check the cable of the record player by tester that I bought by mail as a junior high student, but a cable of two was worn out and broken by me. I had to solder for that before the test. I found the cable between player and amplifier was not wrong by that. . After all, output of the player's right side was wrong. A person at auction site who has the same player said that it was broken at the left side as well. According to auction site, my Panasonic player, SL-10, seems to be premium record player. I found the right side speaker's urethane was torn a few years ago, but I stopped a hole with plastic tape. The amplifier was broken of the right side output especially as well. The double cassette deck is broken half. That's why when I used record player, the right side speaker was dead, but I tried putting the right speaker cable into the jack of left side of sub speaker. Then it sounded from the right side as well as the left side. I listened to sounds by both speakers when I used record player after a long time. It is a parastereo sounds. The left channel sound was sounding with both speakers as the same time. I woke up at 5:30 this morning, too. And it was fine day today, too. But as you guess, I did not go out today, too despite Golden Week. By the way, I am interested in listening to music these days. As you know, I got used LP records yesterday. But my stereo set that I bought in 1987almost breaks, for example record player, speaker, amplifier, and double cassette deck, except tuner from yeas ago, CD player already broke years ago, it exchanged to new one that I got at auction site last spring. Therefore, they do not work rightly except tuner and CD player now. I listened to those records that I got yesterday by single channel, so it was　not stereo, it's monaural. I do not have a lot of CDs, but I have many records, but 30 pieces of LP records that I bought from when I was junior　high school student, though. I wonder how many records Mayuko has, because I think Mayuko is almost the same age with me because she brought old　records of hers from her room with her today as I thought. We heard there　were some scratch noises from them like my records by my stereo set. I think she also has a record player yet like me. Her name was decided by　her grandma I heard from her she was born in the temple in Kamakura. I am going to listen to those records from now on. I enjoy visiting to a record shop site these days, for example Amazon. We can listen to music of CD before we buy on each CD shop site. I visit to the site to listen to music whether I buy or not recently very often. My many records are shabby condition and it was played by shabby stereo set. So I want to get them as CD again from CD shop site. There are used CDs in auction site, but they are not many and not a lot of kinds too as I thought, and new one that CD shop sells are cheaper. I will buy CD that I bought before from there again before it sold out. By the way, these cherry trees are along the elementary school ground that I walked to study. The signboard says in Japanese "Greeting with a smile. Bright area."　Oh, I remembered my today's news. I did the laundry for my clothes after a long time this morning after meal. (MAY/4) photo

It was fine and warm today. I woke up at 5:30. I installed security software that I had bought in February this morning. First I uninstalled an old version and then installed the latest version, finally I checked my PC by virus scan. I had to spend all this morning to that work. By the way, I scratched my back often by my hand whether I took a bath or not, but I got out of my T-shirt at last, and tried putting new underwear white T-shirt on. Then I had to scratch my back before. T-shirt that I put on anytime was not underwear, I kept putting it on when I sleep too. My hands might have got longer because I scratched my back for years. I should have noticed about that and changed T-shirt earlier. The time that my back is on the cushion is long when I am in my room, so my back is kept pushing to T-shirt for a long time. So my back itched. I want long white fingers to scratch my back instead of my hand, though. There is a back scratcher in Japan, too, it is called "a hand of grandchild." I do not have any grandchild, but I do not have any girl friend before that. This afternoon, I drove my mother to the nearby supermarket at 2 p.m. It was too hot in the car, so I got out of the car and got into a bookstore at next door of the supermarket. I happened to buy a magazine of motorcycle. I came back to inside of the car and was reading the magazine in heated air.But here was not in Texas. If here was Texas, I sure could have become a boiled octopus rightly. When I kept reading that despite too hot, my mother came back with a carry cart sooner of later. She put them into the trunk and we came back home at 14:40. When we came up to my house, I saw a small wagon that was running before me. It was filled with a lot of packages. I found it would come to my house soon. The car stopped in front of my house as I thought. The deliveryman came to my house to deliver LP records. I also was running to go to home, and I signed to get them. The yare all records of Spyrogyra, and are all things of 25 years ago. Of course, all second hand records. It was for the first time both of them for me that I got a used record or at auction site, but their record that I had was shabby so I was surprised when I opened it because they were kept all good condition. I spent $20 to get them, including postage. I think I had a good shopping. Of course, I typed this page as I was listening to those records. By the way, this is my word processor, Sharp WD60 that I got at auction site last spring at only 1 cent, including some ribbons, but it needed $10 as a postage cost. Of course, it works right. The sound that my mother was opening the curtain at downstairs woke me up at 5! Yes. I could not go sleep again after that anymore. But fore some reason I began getting sleepy suddenly at 9:30. Then I slept from then until noon for 2 hours and a half. Probably I thought it was by a medicine after waking up. In fact I took a herbal medicine for running nose yesterday noon. Although it passed through a day from then, I think I felt sleepy by that. I heard a herbal medicine should not have a side effect before, though. Actually I was too sleepy. But it is very good for our health that we can sleep easily. That's why I do not know the weather while I slept. But it would be cloudy all day long. Golden Week came to me, but I could not get my motorcycle yet because they could not fix it yet despite saying "It will be OK by Golden Week," although it does not finish yet, I would not be able to go out by that in this Golden Week. My bike has been staying in the hotel since April 16. Trail Yamaha DT125 that I had before had been staying there for four months to exchange a piston inside engine. It was not in my house together when the New Year came to. Then it came back to my house at last when I would go to Sendai to work. It was in time for leaving from my house at the last moment, my father and my mother and me went to Sendai by a rental truck in February 1988. By the way, I do not like February because I cannot remember spelling easily. Anyway, I will wait it until coming back because it will come back sometime. I woke up at 6:30. It was sunny day today too. BUT as you know, I did not go out today too like Mr. Otaki. That's why I am listening to　his CD "Long Vacation" that appeared in this world of Japan for the first time now. If I looked at around me, I would not find my news. By the way, I got five second hand LP records on the auction site the other day. It was for the first time that I got used records for me. They are coming up to me and will be reached in this week by deliveryman. My hobby that continues from a high school student is riding motorcycle, and listening to cross over music. And PC was added from when I bought first PC in 2000, and also English by PC from 2001. In fact, I have hardly bought JAZZ or fusion music CD over 20 years. But I kept listening to that music, though it was sometimes. I listened to Japanese music over the 20 years mainly, but I will be back to fusion music of abroad again after an interval of 20 years. I spent $20 to get 5 LPs including postage and other cost. Their records were made around 1980 about I was listening to a kind of Jazz music. Anyway, my record player breaks now, it could not play a sound of both channels, so the single channel is not played a sound because my stereo set is what I bought in 1987. Especially, the auto record player, Panasonic, was in 1980. So those records-condition are a little bit bad, basically they are be OK for me. No problem. My most important problem is what I do not have enough money to live in my old age. If my mother got an ill, our life would change much, or if she died, I would not know I should do anything after that. Too scary. And I have to live in this mansion alone after that.
